Welcome to Librarium Online!
While thinking about what I want new thing I wanted to buy next, I stumbled across my Imperial Guard. All the troops were painted with a thin coat of paint, and looked fairly horrible. One of my five tanks was painted, and only three have been primed.
So, instead of purchasing something new, I'm going to re-paint my guard (so they look better than table top quality... hopefully). The current count is approx 80 troops, 6 Heavy Weapons, 1 Sentinel and 5 tanks (I'm not at home so that's not an exact count). I will be painting up a 1750 pts list (not yet made) and possibly add on later. I have purchased a Baneblade (upon re-thinking all of this I should have relised my guard needed a lot of work before I got the baneblade... but hindsight is 20/20)
I'm very good at chainging my projects constantly (as I'm writing this I'm thinking about if I should be working on my Wood Elves instead...) so hopefully this will hold my attention long enough to finish my guard... and mabe even reach appocaliptic scale!
Since I'm not at home (I'm at university *yay for higher learning*) I won't be able to get pictures updates constantly. It will most likely be a 2 week intervals between pics.
Here's some I took before I left:
Heroic Senior Officer
P.S. the pics are a little grainy, the paint on the models is very smooth.
Woho, first update! (why has nobody posted?) I decided that you guys needed an idea of what I'm working with, so here is the 3 types of models that I could be starting with:
And here's the armour:
Alright, now for the updated part of the update. I've finished 7 more guardsmen (1 Junior Officer, 1 Grenade Launcher, 5 Guardsmen):
Dear All Concerned,
Well Blood Blade, I commend you for your preformance, your skill in painting has truly excelled in the period between these paintings. I like your color scheme and am glad to see you have improved your abilities. The bases leave some to be desired, but I will wait to the end to see.
Hope this Helped!

Nice job reworking those guys! They look a lot better. Keep up the good work (and give the wood elves a look if it calls ya). Really inspiring to see this, as we all have models that we need to go back and work on or redo, and it's nice to see someone do it.
Nice paint job
Nice Job ;Y
I am Currently re-working my Guard and i feel inspired to get them done relatively soon
I have a small Guard force already painted, but i am not wanting to repaint them due to taking lots of time/effort, and also becos i do not want to ruin them by adding more paint on them, so i was wondering what kinda thing your doing, are you repainting older models? or just finishing them off?
Nice to see some well painted Guard though.
Also, is that Leman Russ getting redone? or is that finished?
Look forward to seeing more,

yourtimehascome - thanks, I'm putting in more work on these guys and hope that one day I will have everything painted. The bases will be made after the whole army is painted, as this will keep me focused on painting.
Shaabhekh - Glad to hear it! Always nice to inspire people (although, being inspierd is usually my line )
My models all have an extreamly light amount of paint on them as my original scheme was: basecoat white, watered down green on the armour and watered down brown for cloth. Thus I am completely re-painting them, and I can paint right over the old paintjob (I was glad of this because I didn't want to fiddle around with paint strippers).
That Leman... I haven't decided yet. I had originally done it for the old scheme, but I put a lot of time into it. I may be able to just touch it up to get it feeling like the rest of the army.
Boodblade, nice work mate, one thing though is consistently letting down your models - base them, it is so simple and will make them look 10 time better cos at the mo the eye is drawn to the naked base
Everything you have been told is a lie!
