Black Templars WIP

Well its that time again for me to spam the forum, I have finished the last of the initiates (well unless I go ahead with my plan to add Helbrecht and command squad for apoc) and heres the piccies for you all to C C

Think the two without the helms have to be my two of favorite models so far on a par with some of my termis, dont know what it is but when I look at the guy with the meltagun I get a "come and have a go if you think your hard enough" aura

Next up is..............

not quite feeling the venerable dreadnought yet but this one I am and have been looking forward to painting it moment it arrived after 2 months :party:

Venerable dreadnought should be next unless the lure of the LRC gets the better of me or I become ill and get stuck into the 20 neophytes, just the thought makes me shiver

Also what does everyone think of the idea I put forward regarding the traits chapter in my last post??

Top job on those Initiates Mr. Dee. But is that Dread you have from forge world, the templar one or just the regular venerable dreadnought. About your idea for the knew chapter, I think for right now you should keep on painting your Templar army and get it fully painted, but after that it sounds like a great idea;Y.

Well he is underway, metals, head, chest eagle, templar cross/skull, and base all done and without tooting my own horn to the naked eye it looks soooooooooo sexy, pictures dont really do it justice, my fault for having a double crap camera i guess

Of course later on I will do some inking on the exhausts for scorching and maybe around the engine for engine grime

Unfortunately i wont be able to get any more painting done until monday

have to go see my dad and brother in Staffordshire and I catch the train at 11am tomorrow, I feel my target pre-holiday is slowly becoming very very impossible

you must paint some nice free hand on the spaces left, this guy will have given loads of oaths and such, and that powerclaw being not so nimble to handle a pen, im sure his brothers have written them on his armour for him, along with a few rude remarks about his mother.

Well i have been really irresponsible, since i have a 6 mile run in the morning followed by a 4 hour drive but i just couldnt get to sleep so, here is the progress on the dread

all the black panels are highlighted all i need to get done now really is the litanies and other templar iconography but that will defo have to wait till monday

I must say, I am constantly impressed by your black armor. I just love it.

Great work over all too. I wish I was farther along on my tale of painters stuff for this month... Haven't even finshed the base coat yet...

Looking good, Mr. Dee. I wish I could actually get stuff done on a schedule. My stuff tends to catch my interest and gets some good progress, then it dies down and I pick up something else, only to come back later. I mean, I have a chaplain I've been working on for 6+ months already! Keep up the good work man, can't wait to see more.

thanks mate think as this is my first ever army it enables me to stay focused although my idea for a successor chapter has played on my mind but then I slap myself and go back to thinking about my templars

as for more your wish is my command...................
