Now that I've found the right place to put this thread, it's time to begin.
Last night I managed to free up some time between doing nothing and doing something and got started on the more basics of painting...
As you can see I've done the ammo boxes green, with the glyph of "elites" on top of it, just like in dawn of war, and started to paint the barrel at the back.
One thing has been bothering me though, in the game the barrel has a... dome shape (is the word I think I'm looking for) at the ends and I've been struggling to think of a way to duplicate it... my best idea so far is that I just curve some paper around it and voila, but if anyone has a better/easier idea I'd be happy to give it a shot.
From the beggining this has changed quite a bit, and although not happy with the hatch at the back I don't intend to change it just yet, maybe when its nearer completion.
I've left the barrel on the back just silver on the edge, because I want to have a checker pattern on the mid-section and it wouldn't make sense to go over it all in silver first would it?
I plan on also putting quite a few bullet cases on the roof and lying on certain parts of the "base" to show the guns recently being fired...
Very next will be the glyph on the cloth overhanging the door, and from there I don't know.
Any feedback or help would be appreciated as I don't always want to work on these things and any positive words keep me going. Sorry to sound desperate
This is a great, characterful project that will add a unique centerpiece of terrain to any gaming table.
How's that for motivational words? Now get back into the workroom and finish it.
Yep that's plenty
Oh one question, Do I glue the flock down all over it, THEN paint over that? or is there a guide to this?
