Right, instead of flooding the Conversion forum with topics, here's a consolidation of my WIP Legion of Ohm Space Marine Chapter.

The Legion of Ohm

Deep in the heart of the Solstice nebula, orbiting the binary planets Solace and Desolace, Disappointment - a small volcanic moon - bears host to the fortresses of the Legion of Ohm. Founded before the discovery of a large Necron tomb hidden in the depths of Mephisto, a large pseudo-planet covered in a thin layer of dying plantation leeched of life through the foul mechanics of the Necron taint, the Legion of Ohm was born to purge the Chaos influence in a nearby system and provide a strong defensive position for the Imperium, though now finds itself having to deal with the Necron threat first.

Disappointment was discovered by a small Imperium force who expected a small resource rich moon, and instead found an apocalyptic nightmare. It's small range of wildlife mainly consists of large lizards, such as the Nychosaur with it's diamond sharp claws and massive bulk, or the smaller Opisthosaur which excels at stealth. It has been known for the Legion of Ohm to employ the local lizards as riding beasts, and it is not all too rare to see one charge into the fray - often with dangerous results for the enemy.

One such rider is Force Commander Terentius, who used to ride the great beast Raglørol to war, though since the passing of his mount he has elected to fight on foot with his Emperor-blessed Thunder Hammer. He wears an ancient suit of Artificer Armour, and has extensive inner biotics in his inner thigh and upper back where he clashed with an ancient Slaneeshi dæmon and fell from his lizard. His biotics also help him interact with the plasma-enhanced power pack he carries into battle.

Another of the Chapter's heroes is Master Chaplain Crassius. A victor of a thousand battles, Crassius no longer has a face, and barely a head - he was hit by the Gauss discharge of an ancient Necron Monolith, managing to survive through what his battle brothers proclaim was the Emperor's Will and nothing else, yet took major injuries to the head and had to have his Emperor-blessed brain encased in a life support system, which functions as his eyes and mouth - Crassius no longer has a sense of smell.

Today, the Legion of Ohm has amassed enough honour to be bestowed ancient battle armour of the Imperium and sports a fair number of Terminator suits and Dreadnoughts. Tactically, the Legion prefers hand to hand combat over long range gunfights and will stop at nothing to assault the foe. They are ready to deliver the killing blow to the Necron threat and lay in wait, biding time and fending off Chaos until the time is right.

Two 5 man squads of Assault Marines
Two Tactical Squads (..ish. I keep finding new marines lying around)
One Rhino
One Predator
Two Dreadnoughts
Various HQs - Terminator Librarian, Chaplain and Captain, plus Power Armoured Captain and Chaplain
One Space Marine on Bike, complete with wheelie.

Are questions allowed as well? Because, although I'm guessing it's fairly obvious to a fan, I haven't read that much Terry Pratchet. Although I do know there's something about a Legion of Ohm in his books, and have my suspicions that this army is supposed to be based on it. Am I right?

And now, comments; Those conversions look excellent! And your Chaplain has unicorns on his back! How can he lose!? The enemy will just give up when they see him!

Finally, unfortunately, criticism;
I know you're probably trying to keep the pictures small because you're posting lots of them, but a few larger pics might be nice. So we can see the details?

And, given that's the only criticism I can come up with, you've obviously done a stellar job!

I've read my fair share of TP, but I can't remember a LoO in his books. I might not have read that bit yet, though. I thought of it when thinking of an icon, saw the Ultramarines icon upside down on my desk and "hey presto!"
Sorry about the pictures, DA takes a while to upload so I kept them small - LO is 700x700 limit anyway IIRC I'll do some larger ones sometime.

Oh yeah! I get it now! Ohm = symbol for resistance. Hence, 'We are the resistance!'

That... that makes so much more sense now.

God I feel stupid. I'm an electrical engineer as well - spent four years at uni looking at that symbol and it just weant right over my head!

I think I might have been getting my wires crossed (Hah!) with the Terry Pratchet stuff. I was probably thinking about the Omnians and their Great God Om, so I was only a letter out.

Fair enough with the small pictures. I'm still having problems adding pictures to some of my posts! All that resizing can get tedious.

Those are some awesome poses! I love the stabby marine, he looks brilliant!

And the paintwork on the marine with the shield is pretty good as well. I'm presuming it's blast damage, but whatever it is it looks cool.

Latest addition to the army (not really, got it two christmases ago) - I have to greenstuff the joints (MASSIVE gaps) D:

Could anyone give some advice on this? I.e how long to leave the GS to dry before modelling it, and before painting it?

I think about a day (24 hours or so) is recommended, although it could be up to 48 hours. I think it might say on the packet, though, so if you have that handy have a bit of a look. There might be some guidelines on there.
