    2000 pts of Chaos goodness

So I am working on a Black Legion army that will have an earthy toned scheme. It all started with the completion of a Predator which I liked the outcome. So far I have completed a Dreadnought and 2 Obliterators and have a lot left to work on! The army list is below. This includes more than 2000 pts, but some units will be used in lower point formats.

HQ: Daemon Prince, MoT, Wings, Warptime, Doombolt

Sorcerer Lord, Bike, Doombolt, Personal Icon

    Elite: Dreadnought - Autocannon, ML

    Dreadnought - Autocannon, ML

    Dreadnought - Plasma Cannon, ML

    5x Terminators - 4 Combi-plasmas, Chainfist, Heavy Flamer

Troops: 8x Plague Marines, 2 Meltas, Champ w/ Fist, Rhino, Personal Icon

8x Plague Marines, 2 Plasmas, Champ w/ Fist, Rhino, Personal Icon

Fast Attack: 5x Bikes - Icon of Nurgle or Chaos Glory, 2 Meltas, Champ w/ Fist

5x Bikes - Icon of Nurgle or Chaos Glory, 2 Meltas, Champ w/ Fist

    Heavy Support: 2 Obliterators

    Defiler w/ 2 CCW

Predator - Autocannon, HB sponsons, Havoc Launcher

I have already posted this on the army list forums and got plenty of good and helpful ideas from many people and I have play tested it out and the army seems to do fine.

    Dreadnought:

    Defiler in progress (semi-scratch built):

I'm a fairly slow painter so the updates will be coming, but might take a little while!

Any comments and suggestions are welcome! Thanks for the input ahead of time!

So a pseudo-update here. I finished a winged lord that I had planned on using and also a Tzeentch Sorcerer lord that I also had planned on using, so I put them here for some reviews and critiques. I know the winged Lord head looks a little orange, I took the picture a few times and I couldn't change it, it really doesn't look that way! I swear

With the weekend coming up I expect to get a little more done, we'll see though . . .

Fanola, I'd rep you for this thread, except that I just finished giving you some for a comment you made in the chaos army list sections. You see, this is the problem with having so many interesting posts :rofl.

Great work. The predator is steeped with plenty of Nurgle loveliness. It's nice to see threads that list and provide images of the entire army build. I'll be watching closely, enjoying your progress vicariously, anticipating the finalization of your MONSTROUS CRAZY DEFILER! Great WIP.

An update here on the progress of the Defiler.

So now it's primed and ready to begin the painting process.

This is really a montage of models, including a Hellcannon of Chaos, Daemon Prince, Ork Dread and cave squig. All of which were generously donated to me. Then I bought some milliput and copper pipe and snatched a few plastic pipets from my lab and I was off!

Let me know what you think. Paint scheme will follow what I have started with the Predator and Dreadnought.

I do like the defiler body but I feel the legs could use more... claws coming from the bottom, or spikes breaking through the armour... anything like that would give it a lot more flavour to be honest, I love the dreadnaught though, I don't much like over-the-top painting and that is perfect for my taste.

I agree with you, I am still trying to figure out exactly what to do with the legs. They do look rather bland in comparison to the rest of the body. I am thinking that utilizing a lot of putty and some pointy objects to represent horns, thorns, etc. will be what I will do.

I also like the Dread, plus, all the joints are magnetized making it fully movable.

Nice stuff. That seems such a little stuff for 1k points though.
