Cyric, I thought you should know that the Hal 10,000 is now on the market. Looks like you're going to have to scrap this titan and start all over :C. The side drums really add a nice touch to this piece. Good color. The white and yellow help balance against the darker colors. Also, nice work on the reflective 'jewels' on the lower vertical panel. I'm very happy so far, not that you're trying to please me or anything. 8Y EDIT: I kissed your rep. I hope that's ok. If not, then I'll take it back.

You call me, I come. Truth is, I got hurt on the job and it hurts to sit and paint. Watching TV, reading and gaming all cause me pain. So what do I have to do? Go outside and play. No, seriously. My mother's probably rolling over in her grave ...if she were dead that is. For now all I can tell you is the main body is assembled, the trim is being painted and the arms are next. Main body must be completed by the 11th, because that's when Cyric and I get together to assemble legs and bases. Now isn't that exciting? In the mean time, all I have to offer is this... ![]() ![]() Seriously, your on a six week operation out in the bad lands of some Emperor forsaken planet, what else are you gonna pack in your foot lockers? Certainly not weapons or spare parts. Besides, porn woulda just been, creepy... |

SUBSCRIBED!!!! You guys are absolutely incredible!!! Keep up the good work... and don't worry that everybody on LO is watching this thread, because you guys seem to have the skill to go beyond any of our expectations. Especially my own, as I don't have enough creative bones in my body to even imagine something like this!!! + + + |

Since I'm starting a mad dash to finish Fluffy's torso by Tuesday I thought I should give some serious thought into how I plan to paint these giant shoulders. My original idea was to stick to a dominantly DA green color scheme, but as I get further into the project I'm starting to think that mostly green will A) Not stand out exceptionally well in my army (aside from the fact that it's, you know... huge), and Not make for a horribly striking model. So I decided to do a couple of tests. I'm going to equally thank FlayedOne for use of these images and apologize to him for doing this without his permission (please don't sue me for titan infringement! ). Since his titan is the same model as mine and almost finished, I've been studying it a fair amount to get a concept of how my ideas will come together. In this case, I just took it one step further. So without further ado, here is the approximate scheme I was going for originally: (pardon the poor photoshopping - I was in a terrible hurry when I made these) After making this image and being struck by the utter "blah" of it all, I started thinking of something more like: Though perhaps with a brass/gold trim instead: Now, let me say that I really kind of hate painting that bone color and was trying to avoid ending up with large areas of it, but in the end I think it makes for a better looking scheme overall. So help me out here, lads. What are your thoughts on this?

i recon no# 2 looks the best, with the main bit bone and the trim green. im not so into the gold/brass look or you could go with no# 2 but put the engine piece as bone aswell

I like choice B over choice C because the brass looks strange. However, it also doesn't really look like brass (photoshopping being hard), so maybe it could look good. I don't mind the first picture, although the bone trim doesn't sit well with me. The amount of green vs. bone in A and B is pretty much the same, but I think B uses the colors in a more effective and balanced way (i.e. cutting out that huge span of green). In conclusion, B. |
