so, the single thing I will comment on would be that there are several places where primer is peeking out from behind the paint. If you were to thin your paints a little using a flow aid, and do multiple layers, I think that it would do a lot for the figure.
You have some good highlighting on the armor scales, the face looks well detailed.
Some basing work would wrap it up well.

Are you planning on sprucing up the bases all at once when you're done painting?

Well mate the face looks awesome, although a photo from a better angle would prove this to a greater degree.
I aint too sure about his armour mind you seems a little flat, could use some shading and highlighting, but I realise this is a WIP and I'm sure you will get round to that.
Anyway nice looking model so far pal ;Y
