So I started with Orks a while ago. I've now converted, assembled and sprayed my first mob.
This is the first finished one. The pictures are a bit bad... I'm not sure why. Is there someone who can photoshop them better?
Well here's the first one:
*Click to make them larger*
For the people who can't see them clearly enough:
Dark Angels Green
Chaos Black Wash
Chaos Black Wash
Mithril Silver (optional)
The rust on it:
Very watered down Blood Red "sprinkeled" on it. (not sure how to say this...you pull your brush back with blood red on it and release it...)
Start with mechrite red
Multiple layers of blood red
2 Light drybrushes of Blazing Orange
Chaos Black and Graveyard Earth
Then highlighted with Graveyard Earth
Chaos black and codex grey (25%/75%)
Than drybrushed with graveyard earth (the bottom)
I still need to paint this. But I think I will make a desert base with scorched grass and some kind of long scorched grass (non-GW)
This was a test model so it took quite a long time 2-3 hours. I'll probably paint them in batches of 3 or 4. Comments are more than welcome.

Looking good mate; that guy has a rough and ready paint job thats suits the model nicely. I like the work you've done on his skin, and the metals work well. His jacket seems a little flat though - perhaps another shade of highlighting could help here.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the army progress; will look great when its complete
