Here are my first twenty cadian guardsmen. Those are the first models that I actually painted, but I like the result.
Since I used non-Citadel paint, some of the techniques - for example dry brushing - were quite difficult due to the fact that the paint I used was not water based and required a special kind of thinner, not to mention that the paint dried too fast. It was some Model Master enamel, if I recall properly.
The models below have the following paint scheme - gunship grey for the armor, something similar to bleached bone for clothes and a wash of bestial brown something over them. I used silver for the metal gun parts and ghost grey to drybrush the armor and helmet.
I would appreciate some advice on how to improve my painting skill. And sorry for the poor pictures - the weather here is quite gloomy today, and I messed up with the lighting.
I will post here my sentinel and armored car conversion as soon as I paint the models. My birthday is drawning closer and I hope to get some Tyranids too.
P.S. As you can see, I painted the right shoulder badges in different colors for the different squads, in order to easily distinguish between them during game.
