So I'm not sure what exactly I've gotten myself into. I have come home from ye ole FLGS with:
20 Dire Wolves
10 Grave Guard
5 Spirit Hosts
1 Count Mannfred
I have... two weeks to build it for the first tournament, and then two months to paint it for the second! (This is all part of WHFB 25th Anniversary celebrations.) So ostensibly in 11 weeks or so, all of this will be painted....

Quit your job, then break it down into sections mixing up elements of the army that you really don't want to do folllowed by elements of the army that you are looking forward to painting as a sort of reqard, and hey presto you will have painted all those bad boys up in no time.
Good luck mate I will keep an eye on this
Oh if onlyQuit your job
Started eating into the glue supply today. 10 Skeletons are build, woo! These models seem tiny after building 120 orcs! They're no fun to clean up either. Mold lines/flash on kneecaps and other awkward places. I think I accidentally shaved off a couple tibia and some toes!
10 Skeletons, 20 Dire Wolved, 10 Grave Guard, 5 Spirit Hosts, 1 Mannfred, 1 Varghulf
Days Remaining to Build:
If it helps, Dire Wolves are pretty quick to assemble. I'm pretty slow at it, and even I manage to get a Wolf done in a few minutes (probably around 10). Most of the mould lines you can ignore, as they're underneath the model or on clumps of hair or whatever it is Dire Wolves have. So they're not so noticeable.
On the other hand, of my Grave Guard that I bought at the same time as the Wolves, I have one and a half guys done. I despise them and their tiny, tiny parts and general fiddly-ness.
(It could just be me and my clumsy fingers, though...)
I'd make the cat assemble them so you can get on with the easy stuff. Or maybe the cat would do better with the Spirit Hosts, seeing as all you really have to do is stick them to a base.
Best of luck with the project! Go, 'Affe, Go!
Good luck, bud! I'll be rooting for ya, and looking forward to updates!
4 Nights to build remain (can't get anything done on Wednesdays.) I've definitely fallen behind a bit. Grave Guard were a pain in the butt to build. 10 Skeletons and 10 Dire Wolves remain, plus Mannfred who may just be held together with regular superglue for Saturday's tournament and I'll GS+Pin him after. Still quite doable, just need some discipline to stay off the nintendo tomorrow and tuesday!
Figured photos of unpainted grey plastic wouldn't be of much interest to anyone, so I didn't take more pictures =).
