I'm entering my Imperial Guard with Grey Knight Allies in the Tale of Painters 2nd Company.

My plan for the first deadline is the Armored Fist squad with their converted Chimera. I had a few painted previously. They also represent Hardened Veterans, but not in this list. Here's their current state.





Still have some more I'd like to add to this. A sheet or two of cameleoline and some leafy camo netting maybe.

Honestly tho, these are going to look boss when they are finished. This whole army is. I look foward to seeing it completed.

Thanks for the support, guys. I wasn't planning on updating so soon, but here's the 3 guys I've done since last time. I don't have too much free time so I'm trying to get about 1 guy done a night. So I should be done with the squad this weekend and have plenty of time on the Chimera.

The additions are the missle man, Vet sgt with a bolter, and a plain lasgunner


I added these "110"s and script to the shoulderpads and for some reason that made me pretty happy. It helps tie things together in my mind, plus I could use different script line patterns for different squads. Fun


My next update should be the finished squad after the weekend. I'm really looking forward to starting the tank.

The squad's done! (almost) There's one more lasguy I'm in the GS stage with. After him and a few touch ups the squad will be done.



I got some base colors on the Chimera and bought my first batch of 10 Grey Knights. All very exciting.



I don't think I can resist doing a test Grey Knight to make sure I like my color ideas for too much longer. The first GK squad will probably be next month's goal.

Fantastic stuff! They are so characterful and well painted. It's a pity you're going to spread out the awesomeness with those prissy Grey Knights!

Any hints on how you're going to paint your GKs? Metallics, Grey or other?

I'm doing dark grey and am trying to figure out some little red/white/black elements but I'm not happy with the tests yet so I might just stick with the grey and add some dirty.
