Welcome to the Death Korp

So after a brief err extended break from warhammer i'm back. Thislog is to keep me motivated and actuall finish painting some of my major projects. The majority of thepainting will revolve around Word Bearer's Black Templars and the Death Korp of Krieg.

Some of these you might have seen before, but recently finished minis include:

LIke the Dread and Hellblade a lot, but the Centaur just doesn't seem quite finished, is it still WIP?

Nice stuff, maybe give the dread's metallic's a wash o brown (new citadel washes are perfect for this) it will take away the shine just a little and make the metallics look more 'real'. the flames are nice but isn't the yellow supposed to be on the bottom and red on top............meh who knows. But anyways some really nice painting look forward to more.

Pickle: The centaur's stripes have been highlighted after this pic was taken, but the crewman and stubber need to repainted in my new scheme and washed respectively. The harshness of the light detracts from the gritty look of it IRL.

Dwayne: I'm still deciding whether to go for a clean look for chaos or a dark and gritty look. So far I like the clean look, when i get a pic up of my termies I think you'll agree. But I think I will ink the guns with a dilluted wash though. Yes the flames' colors are reversed. Doh! On my Dark apostle they are reversed to the correct way. I'll fix that right now!.

Edit: I just reversed the flames and added a light wash and it looks so much better! will get a pic up tomorrow with my second set up uploads.

Alright pictures as promised:

First up is the dreadnought, I corrected the color scheme on the flames and gave the metal on the arms and legs a light wash.

ah that's better. Your termie is going really well the colours are nice and smooth. I like the Hell Talon cause it BIG!The DKok dudes are awsome not just the models but the paint job you have given them. They are painted with three different coloures and yet they look the same and tie together well very beige painter style (A saying I have developed)8X , which is very good.

I do have one question though, do you DRYBRUSH?

Thanl you for the comments! No I do not drybrush, your talking about in the DKoK right? Its just the graininess of the pictures. They are layered, i'll try to get a better pic up later tonight.

Nice work here Helbrecht. Id like to see some army shots of what you need to get done and what your plans are for each list.

Liking the Dread still, Think the Helltalon needs a wash of black to define the edges, and the DKoK look great.
