That is bizzare... yet at the same time absolutely excellent! I love it! What's built from what here? You're gonna end up with a really unique and amazing looking army by the end of this Boomer - can't wait! Also, welcome handbag of joy! Adding more to the very nice mix of armies out there. I'm a fan of Khorne and conversions, so looking forward to hearing more from you Last edited by Hobbit88; July 27th, 2008 at 22:34.. |

Thanks, it's just a test model so far, but im happy with it. The coversion is a cypt ghoul body and legs and a pig iron rebel head. With trimmed down Ork arms one holding a Ork shoota (which makes a great firearm) and a crude chainsaw weapon instead of a hand.

Well I did it, I ordered a chaos annihilation force from UK GWOnline setting me into my spendings a further... 70pounds (how embarrassing, I don't even have the pound symbol on my australian computer ) so in total I'll have spent...137 pounds... huh, well then I have most of my spendings spent it seems, o well, means you'll get more converting and I'm prepared to go past the spending limit for conversions .

I wanted to say that this thread is awesome. Particularly when the White Dwarf series of articles starting this month has abandoned the cost limit. Those 'fake' tale of four gamers are spending loads of money. It completely destroys the point of the article which was to show how someone on a real budget could get into the hobby! Well done for doing it properly!

Thanks Zarahemna, I do very much intend to ‘keep this real’. I was a little shocked that W.D hasn’t kept up the budget rule. I could happily spend lots more this month but I will keep to my plan and show W.D how it should be done. First off here is a link to my fluff as promised. Please note this is a first draft so I am very open to C&C. my unofficial barghesi fluff. I’m starting to drift away from the cyborg monster idea, as the models seem to scream ‘Tusken Raiders’ at me.

Just got my copy of White Dwarf today and I'm dissapointed. No clever army themes, no showing of much conversion work and really, just no inspiration to people. I look at the armies and I just see what's in White Dwarf's advertisements and in battle pics from Rulebookes and Codexes. The only army I look forward to seeing completed is the Eldar force, just because it's a really, really nice paint scheme and it looks like it could be going somewhere. Hopefully it will pick up next month with Black Reach being out... In the meantime, thank you Zarahemna for the feedback - it's nice to hear from people about this project! Fluff also looks good Boomer, but I'll give C&C in that thread later on. What's everyone motoring on with at the moment then for this project? I'm intending on making up two looted wagons over this week and should have some WIP pictures by weekend. Peace out all! |

Hey, sorry I haven't posted much. Been away with family for the past 3 days. Pics... the test model was completed this afternoon so I will be posting pictures of him sometime tomorrow. I have to go to work in the morning. Comments: I went over the budget a little by buying some needed hobby tools. I bought the train studs for the Pre heresy look on my men and a pin vice to drill them in with. I also bought white spray paint for the base coat and some more paints. At this time I am at 126.52$. That is about 63 pounds I think. I am glad people are interested in doing this and I can't wait to see more! |
