I made him choking up on the handle for realistic purposes. He is supposed to have an "I am looking over the battlefield with a stern face" look. I think that with the scythe being so big he would be choking up on the handle to keep balance. I don't know if you saw it but the scythe head is almost as big as him.

Hi folks,

Here is a update of were I’m too so far.
I picked a couple of boxes of spawn quite cheap on ebay.
Well they were at knock down price because they infact had no boxes.
Two box sets for £20! I then spent my other £5 on Chaos possessed and Ork nob
plastic bitz which I will use to make chaos champions.

And since I am on holiday in Cuba next month I decided that I will also use next months budget to start on my Leman Russ conversion hopefully I will start that on the weekend.

Anyway here are some pictures of my spawn,

Hi again!

Finished my new LatD champions. I re did them because
someone on another forum said that snippy was too mariney.
So hopefully these guys will be better i.e. less marine like and more elite
alien warrior.





Also got some traitors on the way and my tank beast is coming
along I will post the finished pictures here.

I decided instead of just the Barghesi on there own, I’m going with an alien empire made up of several races much like the Tau Empire but with more cyborg implants and they are fond of chaos!

The empire will be called the Alien Union. The Barghesi and a
second yellow skinned alien race (the Vilskeon, which I will build this week) will form the core of troops.

The champions I’m calling the Khrave (as in the mind eating Khrave) and they form the elite caste of soldiers that are the leaders of the Alien Unions brutal and shabby
horde army. The tank beast and my spawn are the heavy
support choices.

I really like it Boomer. I would not have the patience to paint that amount of guys.

For my progress report.
I m buying a dreadnought soon (hopefully today) and I am working on my terminator lord.
Besides that my squad that I started with is done for now. The extra guys are not though.

Thanks dude. It’s not that hard really so far I’ve completed 40 Barghesi which count as mutants, 3 Khrave which count as chaos marine champions and 4 spawn which count as spawn and 1 tank beast which counts as a Leman Russ, I have got 15 Viskeon which will count as traitors which will give me 63 models so far. I usually paint most evenings for an hour or two whilst I’m watching telly or a film. On weekends I have more time. But I’m going to play a doubles
tournament this Sunday which is 750pts. As long as I can get my traitors done in time I should be ready.

Update!
Purchases: I just got the dreadnought on thursday and he was 25$ So I am at my month's pay.
So far I have bought: The rulebook, some paints, tactical marines, a lord, and a dreadnought.

In process: The lord is still partially bult sitting on my shelf. I am having an extremely hard time with him. I have 6 of my nine tactical marines finished, one half way, one primed and faced, and one just built. I finished building the dreadnought just a little while ago. I will start to paint him next weekend. It kinda sucks to have only the weekends to do this becaase it takes me so long to accomplish anything.

Hi Folks,

Well I took part in my clubs doubles tournament last weekend. And I loved it!
I teamed up with a guy called Ash who also had a LatD army.
Ten teams took part playing three games each. My team drew our
first match against a Nid and I.G army (yeah I know), the next
game we won against a double team of space marines, and the final
game we also won against a space marine / chaos marine army.
We a small club so it’s hard to make sure everything is fluffy!
Overall we came second, which I’m quite proud of.
There was no prizes for best painted / converted army which I was hoping for, oh well!
The each player had to have a 750pt force so I had to step my plans
abit and get me a squad of traitors. I also finished my tank beast as well.
Which I gotta say did a great job in all 3 games, IIRC it killed 7 gaunts in the
first game, 8 space marines the second game and six marines in the last game.

Anyway here is my army update, I have already spent next months budget
and even the month afters which is not really in keeping of my own rules but I found that i was just building my army a little too slowly and I’m off to Cuba in 9 days so I won’t have a lot of painting time over the next month or so.

This is my tank beast all finished. I’m pretty happy with how he turned out in the end.
In games he counts as a Leman Russ, fluffwise he is a Rancor like monster that has been captured and is now a massive war machine cyborg.





These guys count as Traitors in games an fluffwise they are a yellow skinned alien race who fight alongside the Barghesi and Khrave, I haven’t thought of a name for them yet. I will be adding a few more models to make two squads of ten but that might take a few days.





Anyhow, I really like your stuff SGluciousa, don’t worry about not having time to paint. I guess it’s almost winter in the U.K so I’ve stopped going outside now days.
