Very nice. The green compliments the purple blue scheme very nicely I think.

I really like your bases. What do you use for it?

Only criticsm I can think of is that the blue could use one more layer in the blending, or try to blend the layers a little better. Really nice as it is, but could be better.

Thanks for the comments, the spots of dead grass are from the fantasy heroes basing kit, i dont think you can get them anymore though.

These are good. I look forward with the others to seeing some updates as you finish more of your army.

On a more technical note, why not try side-wiping the chainmail instead of drybrushing, you may find this gives you an effect a little closer in quality to the rest of your painting.

I have been thinking about changing up the list some. Looking over the executioners and the black guard i am having a hard time staying away from the black guard. I was also thinking that i would like to make it more magic orientated, seeing as how devastating the dark elf magic phase has the potential to be. So he is mark 2 of my list, and i finished 5 executioners, just waiting for the basing to dry and i will get pics up. I am thinking that if i go with this list i can put them in the warrior unit surrounding my sorceress, kinda like a personal body guard within the unit.

I am also thinking, what about dropping the bolt thrower, a unit of harpies, 1 of the black guard and adding another hydra? Would this be too cheesy?

Pics of executioners (these were intended for the back rank so the highlights are a little starker because when you have 100 models to paint keeping sanity is good!)
