Of those three pics I prefer number 2 the most. Nr. 3 is a bit too bright and 1 is too dark.
It could be the settings in your monitor. Things might be brighter for you because of it, compared to other users.

Great work on this entire thread bud!
Snikrot looks awesome, I'm incredibly jealous of your blending on him. How do you get yours to be so damn smooth like that?
As for the pictures of the big beastie guy, the top one looks the best. That's my opinion though. Photography can be the bain of this entire hobby for me; I'll spend hours on a mini, bought myself a beautiful camera, and then it alllllll comes down to the presentation.
Great stuff though!

Thanks a bundle guys, much appreciated!
CCM, The lighting was done with lots and lots of very thin, translucent layers (using lots of glaze medium with each mix, at least 2:1 GM/paint) of reds, mixing in yellows as I got closer in to the eye. This was then toned down a little with a wash of black around the whole area, to make it look more like a glow, rather than some 'interesting' paint...
I'm waiting for the last few layers of blue to dry, so I can tone it down, before re-doing some of the orange glow, to get the 'mixing' effect right between the two colours. It's taking a while...!
No more pics of him atm, as it looks really bad at this stage. I'm hoping to do a walkthrough of the next glow I do, though.
I do have pics of the Gnarlhorn, who has had his metals finished up (yay!).
He now only has horns, eyes, cloth, hooves and claws to go (which is more areas to go than the bits I've finished, but they are all quite small, unlike the skin/fur, and metals...), which I'm happy about. I'm hoping to finish him today, at some point.
I also noticed a few areas where some washes had... lets say "interfered" with some finished surfaces. This is very annoying, and entirely my own fault for rushing, but I will do a walkthrough of how I re-touch them when everything else is finished, so I guess something good can come out of it.
Anyway, pics:

He's coming along nicely dude. I like the cut of your jib!
Kuffy
He's looking good. Can't wait to see Snikrot done.
He's coming along nicely. Love the armour!
Looking great so far, -t. The scheme of the armour is actually the scheme I was doing on my warpack, when I was still working on it.The silver + blue really looks great, especially compared to the typical green + gold.
Nice work T man, models are looking superb and the Gnarlhorn is one of my favorite models PP produces, you did him justice. I was going to do silver/blue on my Skorne, but that black color scheme for Vinter's forces in Meta is so cool, I have to steal it and my my dude wannabe Black Legion Samurai.
