I really like how the Pegasus is coming along. It is very hard to figure out how to paint the pegasus i know with mine it's painted white/grey and it look terrible but the brown you have there is really nice though i think it could use a little bit more of a highlight. Great use of the kit and great painting.

Well! I like what you've done with it thus far! Looking very nice.

I'm no expert on painting horses, I just do mine fairly quick and simple; basecoat, and then highlight a couple of raised areas on the legs. Which is probably what you were going to do anyway!

The rider looks tops as well, good work!
Rabbit; Our Tau community has the talent of figuring out how to turn a feather into a timebomb. Macgyver would be jealous.
8people; Honey, why is my fluffwars story your shopping list?

    Argh, elgi, and they're pretty!

Savor the moment, elgi player, savor the moment.

They are really... reallyy... urgh, I can't say it ><
They look really good, ah, there. I said it. I'm impressed at how you can paint the entire army NMM, It's so much work for every single mini. It fits really well with the high elf armour though, the plated mail is great for that sort of stuff ( despite being of lesser quality than dwarf manifacture ).

    Keep it up

Thanks, never know I may go and call your dwarves pretty as well, they are pretty... freaking cool, but don't worry I know Dwarves wouldn't take too kindly to being pretty. Elves on the other hand appreciate the compliment.

I haven't gone back to the pegasus really at all, it looks alright, and I wanted to get it finished, horses are still a bit of a puzzle for me, I don't quite know how to do them justice because they are often quite cool looking (before I paint them).

Thanks every one for your help and patience through this pegasus, I hope that you like the finished article.

I learned a new thing as well

Don't recycle snow, make it fresh every time.

I didn't on this base (I rewatered and glued the leftover snow) and I don't like it as much, it is all clumpy and weird.

Apart from that I quite like this guy, he came up alright in the end, not amoeba like at all really.

The shield isn't permanent, I am going to have to make or find him a smaller one, that one hits the Pegasus' wing, and probably cause it to fly in circles. I will do something by way of freehand on the horse barding as well, but until I sort out a theme for banners and shields and the like I will leave it blank. I will also do some runes etc down the banners on the lance but again that can wait, (never know this guy could be a BSB, that would give away a lot of points and surprise people in games).

C&C would be fantastic, next month I have my secret santa, and maybe some archers.
    Cheers Allonairre

    Hi,
    Brilliant High Elf noble!
You've done a great job with the Nmm gold, looks very realisistic. The silver looks good too although i don't think its as good as the gold.

Loving the freehand on the shield and the snowy base too!

Now,I'm gonna read through the whole blog, see what I've been missing.

    Cheers,
    Mike.

    Beautiful work!

    Allonairre,

Beautiful work on your pegasus, this is your finest work yet. I love how you did the NMM on him; it's a kick in the butt to myself to go back to painting it myself as I have personally sluffed a bit off of painting and from doing NMM. You encourage me to go back at both again, regardless of the army.

Your NMM came out beautifully; at first it looked a little patchy on the breast plate but I can tell your strokes became a bit more diluted and refined and that really really shows on the headpiece.

Great work on this, your best mini yet!

By the way, how did you create the awesome snow effect? What did you use?

Great job bud! It's been a blast to read through this and thank you for presenting it and giving me a reason to get my butt back into gear!

    Jake

I have to agree, this is the coolest thing I've seen you do. The model is a great conversion and you painted it up very well. Really great work.
