Thanks for that Winter.

Allonaire, you lucky grot! I bet your heart stopped when you opened that box.
Its the NMM on the sword that catches my eye, can't seem to stop looking at it. You, sir, deserve some Rep. Though, I think I've already given you some...

Sorry haven't done anything for ages. Been doing alterations on the house, we now have a brand new looking lounge and stuff.
Anyway I ordered Eltharion the other day and he arrived yesterday so I got down to stripping him and removing mold lines last night.
Here is the progress so far...
Hope you like it as always C&C are welcome, I am just stoked to be able to paint again.
I will get back to the stegadon eventually as well.

A new lounge, eh? Not a bad effort!
Will be interesting to see how Eltharion progresses; he's quite a nice mini. Is he going to be painted in your army scheme or as a stand-alone piece?

Probably a bit of both, still the same NMM (although there isn't much metal) but I think that I will do more freehand on his cloak and stuff and the dominant colour on him so far is white.

Just a quick update, have nearly finished Eltharion but am really battling with his sword it is very skinny and on a weird angle and difficult to get the blends to look right and have a decent amount of contrast. The rest of him looks alright though.
To stop me getting bored I said I would paint the dead terminator from space-hulk for a friend.
Here is what I have so far
I want the final product to look like it is being lit from the floor by 2 harsh flourescent lights, that are flickering and almost burned out. (Not sure how to get flickering across with paint on a miniature but so far it looks alright, real dark which I wanted, the gold will be a real challenge here though.

Another update on the dead terminator, I got frustrated with the gold nmm I was trying on the goblets and the metal on Eltharions sword, so I quit for a while but was re-inspired by the new Blood Angels especially the Sanguinator (which I bought on a whim) and the painting guide to doing him in NMM from the recent White Dwarf.
Here is my progress, I still haven't finished but comments and advice would be great, esp. about the goblet on the power fist.

really nice work on the red armour!
the goblet is a beauty but i think maybe the gems in it should be another colour... the red gems on it make it look a bit smudgy... yellow crystal or blue maybe just a thought.

I have changed the gems to green and they look better now, also painted the skulls and stuff. Still not sold on the goblet but I will keep working on it, post more pictures soon.

Here are the pictures, I have put up a front one and links to the sides etc

I would really appreciate feedback on him, I am intending to enter him into a local painting competition, I know that he is a long way from done but your first impressions would be really great.
Looking at the photo's what I can see that really needs a lot of improvement (a long list but here goes)
The pelvis wings aren't finished
The cloth thing needs tidying up and smoother transitions into the shadows (mayde a different shadow colour?)
Goblets on the LHS need sharpening up
Highlights added to the black
Have a rethink about the external wiring (I have done a very poor job of the black and yellow)
General tidying up where I have rubbed off paint
Need to add battle damage (will do that last I guess)
Oh and the back of the chair
