Once again I return to the hallowed halls of the Librarium! This time I bring with me a new Idea, a new Vision, and new Purpose! I have decided that my Black Templars will be put on hold. I have seeming lost a little interest in the Crusaders due to the new Codex and all it's shiny toys. The Templars will return, never fear! But they will do so when I once-again feel inspired to do so. And that brings me to my latest Project: The Black Hand! ![]() NOTE: New Paint Scheme can be found Here The Black Hand are a technologically-advanced Chapter of Space Marines who, up until recently, were tasked with assisting various Adeptus-Mechanicus Explorator Fleets in their travels throughout the Galaxy. Because of this connection, they employ a higher level of technology than other Chapters, and have adapted their armaments to be more effective. They are also in the process of developing a new form of weapon, based on Plasma-tech, which uses an Alien material called Etherium. This substance is highly radioactive, and as such has many uses, ranging from power-generation to advanced weaponry. I'll explain more in my Fluff, as it develops. The main thing that inspired me to create The Black Hand was the Brotherhood of Nod from the Command and Conquer games (hence the name). The whole "Religious Society" that revolved around a highly dangerous Alien substance (Tiberium), combined with the fact that Nod are Bad-Ass, provided me with an opportunity too good to pass up. So I am creating my own Chapter that is similar to Nod, and giving them a technological boost due to their connection with the Ad-Mech, and their experiments with my Tiberium-Inspired Etherium. I've got a few ideas floating around about making these ideas work, but I won't put them down on paper before I figure out how to make them feasible without breaking any Fluff "rules". Anyway, heres my 1000pt List, written as-per the Codex. I'll adapt it later on to be more Fluff-Orientated: HEADQUARTERS Pedro Kantor ++Power Armour ++Dorn's Arrow ++Power Fist ++Iron Halo ++Krak Grenades ++Frag Grenades ++++Orbital Bombardment ++++Inspiring Presence ---175 Points ELITES Sternguard Veteran Squad ++10 Veterans ++++Bolter(5) ++++Combi-Plasma(2) ++++Combi-Melta(2) ++Sergeant ++++Power Fist ---295 Points Sternguard Veteran Squad ++6 Veterans ++++Bolter(3) ++++Missile Launcher(2) ++Sergeant ++++Chainsword ---160 Points TROOPS Tactical Squad ++10 Marines ++++Bolter (7) ++++Plasma Gun ++++Plasma Cannon ++Sergeant ++++Chainsword ---185 Points Tactical Squad ++10 Marines ++++Bolter (7) ++++Plasma Gun ++++Plasma Cannon ++Sergeant ++++Chainsword ---185 Points Pictures to come soon! Rep Power: 38 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | /\/\/\/\/\/\--- THIS POST IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR UPDATES ---/\/\/\/\/\/\ Here is the breakdown I'm going for (Updated as of the 10th of November). I've decided against doing Pedro to begin with, my painting started getting sloppy and my colour scheme started shitting me. Also, despite the aim of 200pts per month for the Tale of Painters, I've come up with a different way; Seeing how I've used up my Joker already (As always), I have five months of work to do. And how many units do I have? Five. Because of this, I'm going to be doing a Unit per month, adding or subtracting models depending on whether I'm ahead or behind. So, without further ado, here is my breakdown: MONTH ONE Pedro Kantor ---175 Points MONTH TWO Tactical Squad 2 ++10 Marines ++++Bolter (7) ++++Plasma Gun ++++Plasma Cannon ++Sergeant ++++Chainsword ---185 Points MONTH THREE Sternguard Veteran Squad 1 ++10 Veterans ++++Bolter(5) ++++Combi-Plasma(2) ++++Combi-Melta(2) ++Sergeant ++++Power Fist ---295 Points MONTH FOUR Sternguard Veteran Squad 2 ++6 Veterans ++++Bolter(3) ++++Missile Launcher(2) ++Sergeant ++++Chainsword ---160 Points MONTH FIVE Tactical Squad 1 ++10 Marines ++++Bolter (7) ++++Plasma Gun ++++Plasma Cannon ++Sergeant ++++Chainsword ---185 Points EDIT: Added new Colour Scheme - 11/11 LINK EDIT: Readjusted my Time Plan, Added my new Commander Model 01/12 LINK

Okay, seeing how this is my third post in a row (With no one else in between ), I thought I'd post the progress I've made since entering the Tale of Painters.I've decided that, for my first month and deadline, I'd head straight for the guts of my 1000pt list: my HQ choice. I've made my own 'counts-as' Pedro Kantor, as his rules are pretty awesome (Sternguard Scoring, very nice). Here he is: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He's still in the "green" stage at the moment, and I'm pretty sure he is missing something. I've just not sure what. Perhaps I could swap his Storm Bolter for something else, seeing how he already has one mounted on the Power Fist? And just because I can, here is a preview of the beginnings of my first Tactical squad: ![]() As always Comments and Criticism are welcome, or demanded of your that way inclined. X-Slash-X

Yep. All my Marines, both Tactical and Sternguard, are going to have a Bolt Pistol on each arm. In the case of special and heavy weapons, these too will be under-slung. I'm trying to emphasize that my entire force is very mobile, which is why most of my marines will have the "running" assault legs, and all weaponry will be more man-portable. X-Slash-X

Despite the fact that no one seems interested in my little part of this endeavor, I have a small update. I've been working on the Power Fist of my 'counts-as' Pedro, and I'm happy with the results so far: ![]() I believe I've gotten the Red and the Green that I want. All that remains is a touch up or two, and then it's on to the Black and metallics, followed by adding a glow to the Green. X-Slash-X
