Project Cobra - Part Deux

Here is a quick reminder of the when i started the project last year, Have a read to catch up with anything there. Project Cobra - Part Un

I am again quite sorry I've not had time to update my army had a few family problems back then and I just kinda dropped warhammer altogether for a good time. I was pretty annoyed at myself for ditching my first project but here i return to continue my quest.



But first i decided to drop the army to 1k points then work my up army up 1k at a time till about 3k to 5k points
I have no new pictures yet cause my camera is on lone the now but i am looking at getting a far better camera with higher megapixel but i do have some more ideas for my army.

Here is a quick run down of ideas.
Vipers for all guardsmen.
Crimson guard will be either stormtroopers or veterans. (quick pic)
Just add some more Armour plating and think they will be good to go.
1 squad of veterans will be dreadnoks characters so that will probably be my biggest challenge. I am just gonna use the characters in this picture and Convert them all accordingly and Some how convert a transport rhino for them to.


I really like the look of ogyrns so he is my general idea to make the super b.a.t troopers here is a picture i found for the idea.

I was thinking of using necron immortals or Perhaps necron destroyer bodies with some converted lefts!, Should be fun to convert to.

But i am not sure what else for like rough riders, ratlings and stuff ill leave them to later i guess.

For tanks i was abit worried not been able to find any other tanks other than the HISS which would be ideal for a chimera or something at least. I found some pictures yesterday with good options for leman russes variants.



They look like proper battle tanks to me so ill gonna go for them. I hoped to perhaps convert a few HISS in to chimeras and hellhounds to keep them in the picture at least.

Next those this wont be done a ages but just to mention the idea of this tank


I am gonna make this in to banblade when i get around to it. There is loads of small details i have to work out so i wont natter on any longer and Get cracking with my army.

Next update will be 1k armylist i plan to follow for real and To the death if need be.

Well what a thread to necro for my 1000th post it only took me 6 years. I am have decided to change this in to part of my ToP project cutting the mordor to 1000pts instead of 2000pts.

Anyways to all Mods i am bringing this thread back to life and Just letting everyone know the rise of the cobra is coming!.

Some pictures later today will include some made vyper guardsmen and 6 partly painted crimson guard storm troopers AND a work in progress for cobra commander.

I went for this type instead of the face visor one.


So stay tuned till later.

Hey well about time i updated my Project so here is a few pictures of some crimson guard which i am using as storm troopers and Cobra commander my armies commander.


Ill get some more pictures later my camera's batteries ran out.


Still work in progress i guess but i am gonna make his face cloth longer. for my first entire for ToP project ill have 6 stormtroopers so will posting them soon.

Very interesting, though I have avoided the movie at all costs.

For the commander, have you considered starting with a hooded head first, THEN greenstuffing? Maybe that would make it easier to start.

Also, there are a lot of models out there with hooded heads, including some of the Pig Iron miniatures heads. Just a suggestion to save you some work.
