Having recently finished Tale of Painters I with Bretonnians, a process that I couldn't be more happy about, I've decided to re-up and do another 1000 points of Bretonnians for Tale of Painters II. The first ToP massively improved my painting, and put me on a schedule that has led to my first fully painted 2000 point army. I have a ton of unpainted Bretonnian stuff, and I really want to paint all of it, so here's a way to do it.
I've also been in Tale of Painters II up to this point in the 40K section, doing Raven Guard. I've already got just over 1000 points done. So I've got at least another 1000 points to do there.
So I did what I always do when faced with a large project...I piled more on. I've been wanting to do a Hordes or Warmachine army for a while, so I decided to do 500 points of Trolls for ToP as well. Good times.
I decided to start this thread to have a central repository for all the work that I do for Tale of Painters, and I thought I'd throw in the extras I do every once in a while for fun in as well (Circle Orboros stuff, Cygnar stuff, miscillaneous Dark Elves, High Elves, Orcs and Orks), as well as things like my work for Kuffy's Secret Santa program and the occassional Painting Competition entry.
Anyway, thinking that the first entry for the 1000/500 point armies for ToP II was this past Oct. 15 instead of Nov. 15, I prepared some entries on time, and I thought I'd throw them up here for comments and criticisms. Also, some fun shots of all my Bretonnian stuff that isn't finished...about 3500-4000 points to go.
The Axer, my first Trollbloods model:
7 Grail Guardians (That's right, Grail Guardians, meaning there's a Bretonnian Special Character involved...nothing like kicking off ToP II with a 1000 point single entry and then going from there). I cannot find the baggy with the shields, though, and that's a problem.
And the unfinished box and cabinet of Bretonnia:

And Brettonians, too, I guess, but it's hard too excited about them.
Might I make a suggestion for the Axer? Give him a little wash of a reddish-brown (Ogryn Flesh would be prefect) ove the entire mouth, including the teeth.
This will serve to seperate out the teeth, making them look more individual, and a bit dirtier.
Which is nice.
Oh, and now I'm watching you...

Shoot, I just saw your reply, -t. I'll give it a wash, I appreciate it.
Here's my latest ToP stuff. I'm working on a Khador Jack right now, just have to put the snow base in (mixing the the glue and all that). I have the week off at the moment, so hopefully some good work will get done.
The worked on troll (still needing a -t teeth wash):
My Fey Enchantress, which I put some extra work on. It's not great, but it's some effort on my part.
I'll put some army shots up later.
Thanks bud. This is the WiP Jack. This lovely Juggernaut's name is Marko. He stands at eleven and half feet, likes long walks on the beach, and loves kittens. He also needs some basing, and his paint job (especially the highlighting) isn't especially pleasing to me, but I've figured out quite a bit for the next one.
Dear All Concerned,
Wow tekore! You really have improved since I first posted in your original ToP thread! I'm proud of the progress you've made, and congrats! The models looks amazing!

Marko looks good! I had such a hard time highlighting my Juggernaut; those huge, flat spaces really unsettled me and then having to paint them red was even worse. I did learn a lot though, and -t left some really good feedback in my log if you want to check it out. Are you planning any more Khador or is it back to Brets, Marines, and Trolls?
