So... Ironclads are cool.... so cool infact, I decided to splash out on a FW dread for my first Ironclad. And then convert it slightly (zomgz! Heresy!) (I seem to commit a lot of heresy in my modeling)

I'm really pleased with it. I may add another frag launcher on the top of the side plates. I dunno though. Lemmie know what you think!

The hurricane bolter is quite hench. And don't worry, I've cleaned it since the pic was taken.

Dynamic poses FTW!

NIce work, I love an army with a good fluffy theme almost as much as I loved those Bernard Cornwall books. Nice Dread, I assume those are the asuslt frag launchers off a LR Crusader, if so nice idea. Any more progress to show us ?

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've moved house and stuff is a bit hectic at the mo. I've got most of the Company assembled. I just need to finish building the assault marines, then I need to buy the tanks. (I already have a few Rhinos, a Redeemer and a vindicator)

I'm also working on the Honour Guard and I need to finish painting the chapter master.

Raaarg mould lines are evil. However, I like the scheme. Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Series is awesome sauce. How can you not have a Captain named Derfel Cadarn.

A whole chapter? your quite insane...

I saw the name 'Beli Mawr' and thought "Cool, Welsh SMs", then I saw the Arthurian theme and it all clicked, still a very nice idea though.

For more inspiration for the fluff (if you need any more, the 'Warlord' books are brilliant) I suggest some Welsh Legends- the Mabinogion for example.

Hey, I don't live in Wales for no reason!

Cheers. While I fly into a phsycopathic rage when someone refers to Arthur as "king Arthur," (the same rage some people fly into about female space marines) I'm going with the bedtime story Arthur than the 'historical' version

According to Nennius....

And technically (according to some) you can't call them 'knights' if they do not serve a Monarch/Royalty.

Anywhoooo.

Subscribed to mental project. I look forward to seeing more.
