OK, First of all i shall admit im far from the best painter in the world. But on those rainy days when i have no uni work, no books appeal, theres no football on, and i have no dishwashing, or room cleaning to do, and not one of my video games needs urgent attention, i just might have a go at painting some of my many many minis.
At the moment my projects are:
I predict this will be a slow moving project thread, but i think everyone should invest in one for the C&C that is given out by all you LO'ers out there.
Well, enjoy whatever occurs on these pages throughout the following months, i hope you see my paintng improve over time.
This is my first test model for a Nurgle WoC army, i know theres a few of these going around, but i wont let that put me off having my own attempt.
Wow, I realise now that taking pictures of models really is unflattering to them. every little flaw seems greatly magnified.
All i can say in its defence is that from any distance greater then 6inches away, it looks alot better, you'll just have to believe me.
The sharp highlights could be straighter though, should work on that.
PS. (tongue is still grey to)
PPS. hope the pictures are of correct size
I like the horse... the pictures are nice although, as you have said, every little flaw is magnified but I wouldn't mind on it...
Make the highlights a little smoother and you will be ok! I like the transition in the colors in the Nurgle sign!
*And I thought I was the best painter and commenter in the world!*
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
Really nice model! I think your painting looks great, nice and clean, and the highlights look nice.

That pretty much sums up my scenario perfectly! So long as by football you mean proper football, and not that American foozeball
Very nice. I really like the colours you chose. Very nurgle. My only advice is to thin down the high lights on the green. I find them too thick.
On a different note, really like the horns on the legs, the metal is great (avoiding silver is a good call, I gotta rethink mine now) and the horse's black colour is cool (I like what you did on the actual leg with the tiny brush strokes to simulate hair).
Well done, definetly subscribed.
Black Templar (W/D/L): 4/6/2
Dark Eldar (W/D/L): 4/1/0
Warriors of Chaos (W/D/L): 3/0/1
i enjoy the colors too they look good. im a fan of the thick highlight lines, makes things pop out even more.... no matter what those "professionals" (tsele cough cough jk jk) say about it, you still get an A in my book lol

OK, so ive sat a guy on top. These pictures are a few hours old, ive made the highlights smaller all over the model since. These pics will have to do for now though.
I also cannot think of the best way to show this guy, there isnt a 'perfect' angle to take the picture what with the shield and all.
The rest of the unit have been assembled, but are grey at the moment. I want to grab some of those angry chaos hounds next, but i will finish these first.
Finally, i get a new project from uni tomorow, so there might not be any progress posted untill late weekend. That will keep you full of anticipation for a few days im sure
Thanks for the support
