I think, if you're worried about areas blending (and I can see why, they are somewhat similar), it might be a good time to experiment with surfaces/finishes, rather than fiddling with a good, solid colour scheme. Try running inks, or gloss varnishes (or combinations, a la the blood I suggested earlier) over the fleshy areas, so that rather than being differentiated by colour, the two areas are differentiated by 'feel'... -t.

Jeez... What can I say..? You make me want to sculpt and paint! Great stuff as always. Your style is very distinct and easily recognised and I definetely mean that in a good way. The organic stuff has almost a Giger-esque quality to them. And your multilayer paint style makes them pop (or ooze). I've seldom seen you do small guys but you really make the transition from big to small and keep the same style in the converisons vene though the scale is smaller. Tubey fella is a great example. Loss for words... I need some GS. I'm inspired! Edit: BTW makes snus you a better converter? In that case I'll start right away!

What's this? An update with pics?!? I've started working on the painting now and I pretty much decided on the colourscheme. The rims will later be getting some attention. As always the quality is... well I actually did some alterations to them in order to make them a bit more bareable. They are just not of the quality some of you guys reach. As you can see on tubey and eyetube they both have loincloths, my idea is to make them into fallen appoechiarians (sp?) and their loincloths will show what chapter they once belonged to ![]() Tubey was ultramarine and eyetube was a darkangel. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() that's it for now, got to get back to work. |

They look good my friend, I like the ex-apothecary idea. And the showing of their ex-chapters is another nice touch you've added. Makes them that bit extra special. =) Kuffy |
