To convert a kit like this gives the opportunity to spare a few parts that could come in handy in other conversions. So, my eyes have fallen upon all them lascannons. They would allow me to rebuild some Rhinos and Russes into new stuff. And I think this specific LandRaider could look good with connons of a more daemonic nature. Anyhow....laters. |

Oh, crud, I was eating. Thankfully, my cookies stayed in my stomach. (Turns out all that time spent around a Gauss weapon is beneficial) Looks absolutely disgusting though! Bet you could make some serious custom minis if you wanted to... Edit: see, Andusciassus, I'm psychic

I like the direction you are taking the land raider. All the custom sculpting and green stuffing will really make this stand out and a one of a kind model. Looking forward to whats to come.

Nice work there. Did you use reference photos? I can only imagine how nice this one is going to look completed. It's almost enough to make me turn chaos... nope, guess I'm still masochistic enough to paint IG. Another question for you though, do you use water to smooth out your greenstuff or do you use oil too? Again nice work. Rep for you.

My chaos taint is strong enough that it allowed me to eat some sandwiches while reading! ![]() The LR is looking fabulous! I just love the organic look its getting and the use of bitz. That lower ribcage on the second pillar for instance really gives a sense of wrongness and taint about the tank, I don't know it was just something I noticed and it stuck with me. ;D Your GS work is very smooth and admirable. Any tricks to share with us slavering cultists?

He, at this stage there should be no problems eating while reading, but beware, soon I'll start to paint. Remember, you have been warned. ![]() It might be not quite as horrible as the peguine, but still... As for reference photos, nope. I must admit to being far to easily frightened to use such. I have had a few looks earlier but I'm not sure. Some things are better left to just my imagination. There's plenty of stuff there so I'll get around for yet some while. And regarding the Greenstuff. Well, I'm not all that carefull while using it really. I use some water on my GW sculpting tool and some on my palette just so the GS won't stick to them. But other than that Nah. I try to avoid fingermarks on stuff that should look smooth and if there would happend to be some, then I just use my (wet) sculpting tool to smoothen them out. I'll get some work done tonight on the latest pillar, then I might do a bulkhead sonnecting the two and maybe even a Sick-mo-blob-of-pestilience to feed the chimneys. I might have to start painting some stuff first though as I fear it'll be rather hard to reach it later. Not to mention I long to paint ![]() EDIT: @green_meep, I actually have made a few, some of which can be found HERE Last edited by Andusciassus; January 2nd, 2009 at 20:02. |

Just poped by to tell you I've done some work on it again. No photos just yet but later, once the big computer is turned on I'll get to edit them. But I might just as well tell you what you are about to see. I've painted the basecolours of the chimneys, so it has some flesh, blood, bone and intestials on it. There's of course a lot of detailing to be done, but I like to get some colours on it as for reference and to see how it'll work in a more logical way. You know like...this goes there and that should end up there...but hey! There's nothing to connect those two gizmos. Yeah, I am a bit of a wierdo in that way, but I do want my stuff to be like beliviable even when looked upon from a more techical view. So the left pillar I've been quite displeased by earlier got itself a reason yesterday. I built some visage-thingie that goes from the skull's eyes and into two or three different things (or more if you count them). I placed a bionic eye on his right eyesocket and attached it with the thin tubes from the top of his head, and from there to the new bulkhead that goes through the middle of the ceeling. THen I've made a quite large inteltialtube from his other eye to the front where it'll be growing eyes on the hull... Hmmm...what more have I done? Rereading this post made me realise I really need to get those pics up, words are not quite enough I reckon. BRB with an update. |

So, I'm back -just as soon as I hoped. Computers can be fickle in the hands of an amateur. Once again I will start by telling you about the low quality pics, but when the last battery is running out of energy there's not much time to get good pics. I will try to get better pics once it's all finished but until then these lowquality ones will have to work ![]() Chimneys ![]() ![]() Exterior with sketchy eyes. Will be a bit more bursting-through the metal once finished. ![]() The whole interior in an awefully blurry pic ![]() or two... ![]() Left pillar, the "eyey"one ![]() With the bulkhead..or rather bulkgut ![]() The right pillar, now with bulkgut ![]() and again, from the outside ![]() That's all for now folks. I'll go sculpting and painting now. |

Cheers ![]() I am to make people feel slightly sickened. I think that's the way Papa Nurgle would like it to be. They are however far from finished, they'll hopefully look far worse once the details and the gloss comes pounding in. |
