Welcome to Librarium Online!
This year i have decided to start a Warriors of Chaos army. My find my self to be a half decent painter and so i will post pictures of my army as it grows in size and fury!
This is the first of 30 Chaos Warriors which will be apart of my 2250 point army list which can be found www.librarium-online.com/forums/warriors-chaos-army-lists/152303-2250-points-khorne.html here.

Well these are all completed besides there bases are not done yet due to i have not got the right paints to do them how i would like. There will be more models on the way, maybe some Chaos Warhounds later in the week.
Even though WHFB stuff doesn't seem to get commented or veiwed as much as WH40K stuff (i hope it isn't just cause it is my WHFB stuff) I will add more to this WIP.
This is the army i have gathered so far

After i have finished painting this lot of models I plan on purchasing the Warriors of Chaos Battalion and a Giant which will just leave me to do my Lord and Heroes. Im waiting on the second wave of Warrior of Chaos models before buying my characters though for there is a new plastic Daemon Prince on his way, i hope a plastic chariot model follows him with enough parts to create a fully plastic Exalted BSB to ride in it. If not that it would be nice for GW to have more then 2 model choices for a Sorcerer.
Looking good so far. You are smart to use a simple paint scheme. Many people - and I'm including myself here - use too many colors for their army and it just makes things chaotic. A few well implemented colors like you've got have a lot of impact.
That being said, you might want to change up your paint scheme just a touch. You know how a computer generated image of a face can look creepy because it's too perfect? Your models look a touch unreal because they are too similar in color. The warhounds are the exact same red as the armor of the chaos guys, as are the fur and bone colors. Red-painted armor wouldn't be made of the same stuff as demonic dog flesh.
Try basing the hounds differently or maybe a wash or two of something would help. It doesn't have to be a huge effect to make a huge difference on the overall look of the army. I have to add that my argument is based of subjective judgements of photos which may or may not be accurate so use your own judgment.
That is the first ever Warhound of Chaos i have painted so i just kept a colour scheme i was familiar with so i wouldn't screw him up. My other ones i intend to use a multitude of colour but keeping a Khorne feel to them.
Here is the first partly painted Spawn of Chaos.
His colour scheme is mainly derived from the foundation paint Charadon Granite. Most of his skin is finished but i intend to bring his underbelly up to a Skull White. His horns/spikes are halfway through the first highlight of Codex Grey after which will be follow by an extreme highlight of Fortress Grey. Im not sure what colour to do his eyes though, any suggestions?
Im not sure if a mentioned this on other posts but one of my intentions is to have this army up to serious tournment standards. So since the majority of my army has the Mark of Khorne im tying red into most of the models colour scheme so i don't get an earful about WYSIWYG.
So far this is the planned contents of my army:
The new plastic Daemon Prince
An Exalted Champion (not sure which model yet, im going to wait and see if a plastic Chariot kit is released and if it has a command sprue on it)
Probably a Sorcerer (again going to wait and see if a plastic Chariot kit is released)
20 Warriors of Chaos (2 units of 10 with full command and shields)
20 Maruders (full command and flails)
20 Warhounds of Chaos (4 groups of 5)
2 Spawns of Chaos
Right now im focusing on all the Core, Special and Rare choices. I only need to buy a Giant and the Warriors of Chaos Battalion and then that will be taken care of. I'm waiting for the 2nd wave release of Warriors of Chaos before buying any Lord/Hero choices. So this will give me plenty of time to buy, assemble and paint the core of my army.
Im open to suggestion and would appreciate constuctive criticism.
I'd be more inclined to wait to see if they release a "General/BSB" and/or "Lord/Hero Sorcerer" box like they did for Empire and Helves. They'd be more likely to give you a decent base to work with (but a new chariot would be good too).
Mysterious Member of the ANZAC Clan
I would love to see GW release a Plastic kit for Exalted BSB and mounted like the Empire one, but i doubt it will happen. Plastic Sorcerer kit might however since GW only currently have 2 Sorcerer models. I would be happy with a Plastic Chariot kit though, with Knight bits im sure i could whip up a nice looking BSB on chariot maybe even a Sorcerer on another, heavy hitting scroll caddy.
All the bases will be the light brown colour on the Warhound, just some of the pictures were taken before the bases had been completed.
oooooh shiny chaos, your scheme looks very nice, perfect for the rank and file WOC. I think you've hit the sweet spot of a very nice looking paintjob and not having to be too involved with it.
