Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi I'm new to these forums. I've been painting for 5 years and I want to share some pictures of my skaven.
These were a project in speed painting. In future I need to remember that clanrats are only worth a few points and that i don't need to take so much time on them.
For my first attempt at a horde army I am rather proud of how they turned out. Each batch of 5 clanrats probably too about 2 hours which i think is pretty reasonable for the final result.
I know they have mold lines on them. I was eager to get painting and only realised that the mold lines were still there after I had primed them. Next time I will make sure that I get them before i prime >_<
The movement tray for this unit still needs to be based.
These are some plague monks I started on a few weeks ago. They were origionally being painted a dark green colour but I changed it to an off white.
I think i want to go back to the first unit and bring its unti flag up to the same standard of the other 2 units flags.
These look great, how many do you have per unit? I'd like to see a single one close up, especially the monks - they look different than the usual green scheme most use.
I have 20 clanrats in each unit, 20 plague monks, 2 rat ogre packs and a chieftain. Just a batallion and a chieftain
Eventually I want to bring the clanrat units up to about 25 each. The thing is though that I have heard that skaven are very likely getting a new army book this year and that clanrat models may be getting replaced.
If this is the case I might just wait until new clanrats are released and use the ones I currently have as slaves.
So until I hear about the new book I'll just stick with what models I have for my skaven.
I tried to get a picture of an individual plague monk but my camera's batteries just went flat. I'll hunt down some batteries tomorrow and take a photo haha
