Ive made my first 5 cold one knights now. Ive started painting the wizard to, Im working on the rocks and the river bank at the moment before painting the actual model. I cant wait to seal it and start sloshing over the oils and pigments.

Huhu,
Very very nice Mr Jones! I see I've got 21 pages of awesomeness to go throughLoving where these Dark Elves are going to!

As expected you bring great works forth on a continual basis. Poor kitty though, it doesn't want to drown =(. I'm surprised that you haven't managed to sneak any hazard stripes onto your elves somehow though, although I wouldn't put it past you...

Ive got some vallejo water effects begging to be let out the 'magic box'. Looking at it now though, I should have made it deeper, its going to be a pretty shallow part of the river.
Thanks mate, unfortunately the elves dont have any stripes just yet, you can wait for my fantasy iron warriors army for that!
'What do you mean that chaos warrior has a plasma gun? No, your daemon prince cant take a lascannon!'
Im quiet pleased so far with the base, Ive mixed all my colours with varrying degrees of earth tone greens to give an algie mossy 'orrible effect. Ill do some more work tonight and then take some pictures.

Some pictures.
A fair few mixes on the three areas painted so far. Im pleased with the rocks, they worked with only a few layers, the mud/river bed was a little weird, they whole base will be a big oil paint and pigment mosh anyhow so some hope of spiing it up. The cloak robe thing I did earlier, Im tempted to go back to some of the recesses and go darker, I tried a little directional highlights, just top down really, nothing super speical.
Thoughts.
What colour chould I paint the cat?
Dan

Hazard Stripes?
Depends on how much of a challenge you want really... If you want easier go black or white... tabby would be more difficult and calico would probably be the worst!
Still as someone with a whole bunch of cats I disagree with this model on principle! Hmph!

Pink!
Back when I was 18-19 I worked on the door of a stripbar called the Pink Kitten, but thats another story for another time and place............
Seriously though, black? although that is a little cliché
Are you going to be doing some green algae on the rocks near to the water mate?
