    _Mr_NiD_'s Dark Angels Project

I will admit this already my dark angels are not as lavish or well painted as other peoples (Sknight's especially) but i beleive their worthy to show off. These are all the DA i have finished thus far! Be warned there are many picture (30 or so) ! They are in order from most recent to least recent.

Alright that is it i know that was alot of pictures, but i hadnt really thought about this WIP thing till now. There are many more to come!

I plan to add a land raider, terminators, Azrel, and Ezkeil, and after that after probaly a year a beutiful Warhound Titan!!!!

All i ask you to do since youve been in this topic is reply! I do need tips and suggestions from more experinced painters to get from average to a little better.

Thanks again for taking a look. And Hail The Emperor, and the great Primarch Lion El' Jonoson!!!

Like your other WIP thread, not too shabby. I do think you should drill out the barrels of the multi-melta, however. First, use a pin (the kind that hold button-up shirts together in those nice, neat packages will suffice) to mark the center as deeply as possible. The tip of your hobby knife might help here, too, but use a pin first. Then, use a pin vise (those teeny hand drills) to widen it. A small guide hole or depression will help prevent the pin vise from skipping around and putting the hole in off-center.

Also, it's hard to see the photos. To fix this, try two things:

    1) It's good that you're not using flash, but your light sources should come from multiple directions. If at all possible, get three lights, one from above, and one from either side.

    2) Don't use ordinary light bulbs! That's where that yellowish look is coming from. Instead, take it outside to shoot, or use "daylight" light bulbs, which you can get in any hardware store for pretty cheap.

That, and some small photo-editing tricks will help. PM me for more details.

Otherwise, pretty good job. Again, don't forget washes and light highlighting, and you're golden!

I had to get mine from a hobby store. I think I bought the GW one. I tried multiple hardware stores, including Home Depot, but they looked at me like I had three heads. Nobody had any clue what I was talking about.

not too shabby! i especially like the chaplain's skull. nice shading. i have 1 suggestion though - basing the whole army with a common theme is a really easy way to make the whole thing look 10 times better. all you need is some pva glue and scenery of your choice. and some paint.
    Armies:
    Tyranids: 2500 pts
    Imperial Guard: 1000 pts
    Witch Hunters: 1000 pts
