Mr. Nid former loyalist, and Dark Angel Lord has been spotted in heritical activities in the past few monts. Postin in chaos fourms and looking and the chaos troop line. He has now been declared EXTRIMUS DIABOLOUS due to painting a Khorne Chaos lord. The inquistion has been sent to kill him but have found no traces of him. ALL CITIZENS OF THE IMPERIUM BE ON YOUR LOOK OUT!!

Sorry i felt as if i needed to do that. Umm, my name is Mr. NiD and im ussaly a tyrnaid or DA player but ive recently decided i wanted a chaos army. So this is my thread for all on going projects and anything Chaosy. Ive just painted up a Khorne lord and im thinking about getting some khorne bezerkers and a deamon prince soon. Also once my conversion skills are up to par i will start a team of converted inqustion soldiers who have turned to chaos. Anyway here are my first pictures.











I hope you enjoyed those and i promise there are more to come.

Well ladies and gentelemen, i have come to a fork in the road. I can either keep painting boring terrain peices or buy a box of something, or somethings to paint. The problem is i do not know what to buy. That is why im posting, id like some suggestions of what you think is fun to paint chaos wise. Im not set on finishing this army anytime soon so it can be a character, a squad, a vehicle or whatever, i just want to have some painting. Because of the swine flu here in texas it is possible that my school distric will be closed due to the virus for at least a week. So i need something that i can take my time on and enjoy, I am more than open for suggestions!

Well i'm i haven't been following any of your other chaos related threads , maybe you've gotten around to doing this : But i think the box set of "Possessed" would be a good place to start.

I wouldn't play them as such , but model a unit of something else by throwing some bits and pieces around. Usually i don't do well in the painting department (Well i always think i do , then i visit LO for a dose of humility) , but i had some good success with my (now defunct) possessed squad. Of all the pieces to paint , shoulder pads i hate the most (don't ask me why) , but I've had a blast going into the details on the hooks/horns and whatnot , and the faces are really cool , lots of expressions going around.

Oh and great paint job on the lord , wicked!

Thank you for your comment sir! I was thinking of doing that however i dont have alot of bits so my coversions wouldnt be great, and i ran into the problem of loving all the characters, so right now i cant decide between squads or chacters.....

Good lookin'!! I love the tributes to the Nids and DA's there.
I am also a huge fan on the little purple dude.

As for fun... my fav models have always been the dreadnoughts, Ork and Chaos have the most flexibilty for just fun conversions (DH dreads... also very nice), dedicate it to Khorne and cover it w/ spiks and such (though I am more a nurgle fan). Give it a mutated hull... Ah, there is just so much you could do!! Yah, dreads are cool.

make some chosem or termies, pick up a bow of marines and some GS and make something awsome, the chosen are a great opportunity to make a really cool unit then throw in a character with them, that oughta be fun to do.

Yes im quite happy about it myslef! So do chosen come in a diffrent box? Cuz im probaly gonna buy typhus or ahriman and a five man squad, because i want to keep the price down. Than you for all the ideas guys!

No, there is no chosen box, you make them out of chaos marines and what ever cool bits you can scrounge.

I think a major appeal for Nurgle characters in general is the degree of customization possible. I don't know how much Typhus is sold for , but i'd be will to bet that its a rip off; I'd rather convert a terminator with green stuff and random pieces my self, just a thought. For Arhiman i've gone with slightly converted Fantasy wizards (Adding grenades and a pistol); they have cool possibilities for modeling and you get enough for 2 models , great for a 2nd sorcerer... yeah i like customize stuff.
