This is my first WIP post ever, played fantasy battles ages ago (well at least 9 years ago!) And now i wanted to get back into it all, and this time putting some more time into painting.
This is the first models in 9 years that i tried painted, hows it going you think?
They are just base coated Mechrite Red, washed with debian mud and cleaned up with the black and i tried some eye's as well. So it is missing basing, highlights a weapon! and a few miss their backpack. But its a WIP after all
Going to tidy up the last 6 and then try to fit the weapon/backpacks!
This will probably not be anything fancy since its my first group, but hopefully you can hint and comment and probably i will improve with time and learning!
Right, for all of you Space Marine history know its, i am very aware of that the scheme looks alot like Flesh Tearer's. But i had no idea when i first thought of it, so i apologize for using their scheme, but its kinda great as well.. if i wanted i could take them as a blood angel successor !

Welcome to the Project logs section! I hope you enjoy your stay with us!
Your pic is really small so I cannot give you any feedback on your minis.
I have no clue why the image was shown in a thumb nail size..
Ah well, i fixed a tinypic link instead in its large original.. hope it works out now!
A small update, finished putting their weapons on and smoothen things out.
Still not sure what to do with the hands, red? or keep them black maybe.
Nor what to do with the frikkin arrow these 10 had on themselves (aobr models) Will try a free hand chapter icon on the other shoulder and there is still highlights to go.

I've gotta say, I really like the eye color.
The overall scheme works well, although it's a bit chaosy for my taste. Sorta looks like the corsairs.
But that aside, well done. I'll be watching these guys come along.
So.. hi again
I am by far the slowest painter i know
But lately i got a urge to actually complete this army.. my first army.
So i got to work on a Dreadnought and i actually finished it just a hour ago.
Sadly i dont have a good camera, and this is taken with my phone. But it shows alittle on how it looks.
2 More dreadnoughts are awaiting paint as well as two razorbacks.
Its Mechrite Red followed by a Devlan Mud wash and then washed with a very watered down Mechrite Red. Highlighted with a mix of blood red and blazing orange. (i tried blood red and mechrite red first but the highlights didnt show well.. or at all)
Well the black is just black with highlights made with Adeptus Battlegrey
Well more to come!
So here they are
a squad of 10 Assault Marines
I am quite happy with them, its my first squad ever to be completed.
Next up is a dreadnought, got 2 left to paint.

(Pardon the close up, my camera and lights are horrible where i live)
Here is my first dreadnought, that i finished up some time ago . Still got the base to build tho
Looking good so far, I do like the colors, I agree they are a little too chaosy for me I really like your bases, they look real good.
How weird that you think they are chaosy
Not that i dont like chaos or so, but the scheme is inspired by the flesh teaers (by them selves might not be the most kind people the empire has had)
Instead of a lot of black i kept that to the backpack/jumppack exclusively.
But thanks for the comment's and all, always nice to see people looking/reading your work!
