I just finished up painting some tau, and figured i would put it up here and get some input. Its a little late in the game to be a project, but I may be adding on to them. They are painted after the vior'la tau on the front cover of the cities of death book. Anyways, I'm tight on cash and I'm kindof thinking of selling them...we'll see i guess. A devilfish would be the next thing for this, then depending on my final list there would be some more suits and some converted tau counting as vespids. Again, we'll see lol. Here's what I have so far:
XV84 commander, with integrated markerlight. Will probably just run him as a commander with a marker drone to avoid working with forgeworld rules.
Firewarriors, 20 pulserifles, 10 carbines
Pathfinders, minus a devilfish lol
3 XV88, converted to look good and not rediculous like the originals lol
And heres them all together:
Thanks for looking
Honestly, that is an excellent paint job. White is one of the most annoying colors to use and you pulled it off nicely.
Not a bad job! I like the white and red - it works well together.
The army bases look really decent as well, and the tweaking on the broadsides does seem to improve them. I kinda like the standard look, to be honest, but what you've done looks pretty neat as well.
Thanks for posting these!
