Ooooh, Dark Eldar. Awesome, been looking forward to seeing someone paint some of these up. Thy're a bit of a rarity where I live. ( I know one DE player ).

This oughta be really fun. I've succumbed to my temptation for doing orks. 2 years of putting it off but must! Curse you Tekore!

Just kidding, thanks heaps for setting this up for us.

I've got a log up in this subforum, and I'll be posting any progress I make there. I gotta salvage a few of my paints then go and buy a couple additional colours and brushes, then I will most likely be ready to give a test model a go. I have about five or so spare Warrior models to test before I get down to doing my squad, so I may try out a variety of schemes before I settle on one. We'll see, though!

Hi, i have a little question,
what if i paint for example a squad, which is worth 192 points,
is it ok, or are the 8 points missing a reason to say i did not get the monthly goal?

i just wanted to know, how strict it is

i know the most important thing is the fun, the motivation to paint etc.
i'm really looking forward to see the first results!

EDIT: Its ok if we say "must be 200, even 199 is not enough", i just wanted to know the rules exactly

I'm gonna strip my tau then onto painting. Not sure on colours yet though. THinking white with red cloth maybe?

That's absolutely fine, paint as close to 200 points as you can (either direction). You certainly won't get penalized for being a little under, or a little above! Try to keep your squads together.

My own first entry will be around 176 points, so there's nothing for you to worry about.

Not a ton of cloth on most Tau, but red and white tend to go reasonably well together. I'm not a huge fan of red, personally, but it does go with white.

I'd say give a couple models a test spin and see where you go. I'm dedicating my first couple Dark Eldar Warriors to doing some test schemes.

@trautz: I have a couple things in my entry that are well over 200 points and I can't break them up (ie. Land Raider Crusaders). So there will eventually come a point where an entry will be about 100 points or so. As long as you are making a good effort and plowing on, I don't think anyone will call you on it.

Like LN said, try and get as close as you can.
