With my Ogres nearly finished, and a pathetic record of 10W-4D-30D, i decided to start a new army and learn to enjoy winning.
Took me awhile to decide, before finally choosing Dark Elf. Empire was a close second, but i wanted an army that there isnt much people playing... at least around here. Of course, the weeks following that decision, and after a few purchase, i went to a tournament about an hour drive from here, just to see 4 (or was it 5) Dark elves out of 24 players....
I don't mind, its the army i choose.
Right now, i'm participating in a tale of painter from our local Games Workshop merchant, so i'm trying to paint everything at a steady pace. For each unit we complete, we get a ticket. Here is the schedule :
January : Hero/Lord
February/March : Core
April : Special/Rare
And the Progress :
Not Purchased Yet
Sorceress/Supreme Sorceress on Dark Pegasus
Black Ark Corsairs
Black Ark Corsairs with Handbow
Cold One Knight
Cold One Knight
Reaper Bolt Thrower
For the color scheme :
My elfs will be very light skinned, almost white, with Red Hair... Everyone of them.
Dark Green will be used for armor and cloth.
Blue will be present on every mini. Might not be alot, but blue and green will be present one way or another.
The base on my pegasus... It's amazing what loads of details and a wash can do... It's nothing amazing (after all, it maybe took me 30 minutes to complete), but sure does the job.
And where i currently am : Painting my Hag and my Dreadlord... that Hag might never be used (since i'll want a BSB instead with the Cauldron), but i like painting skin with my new recipe, so she's a perfect model... guess i could always user her as a Witch Elf if needed.
wow... these are great!
I was all stoked about my peggy before urs! lol.
So much for Warlock purple wing highlights...
LOL, I always thought that Morathi model was so silly. Why would she have a bra with nipple cutouts?
wow love the skin tones it really goes nicely with the rest of the minis and makes them look really unique.
