Okay, I have been sort of 'afk' from the world of Warhammer for a while now. On Sunday I went over a friend's for a sleepover and the following afternoon we caught the bus and began to head off to our local GW store! Whilst there my eyes fell upon the beautiful new tyranids and that was when I decided to start playing Warhammer again.
Whilst in the Games Workshop store I bought myself a shiny new pack of Plastic Gargoyles (<3) and the new Tyranids Codex. This is the beginning of a new wave of my tyranids!
This is probably going to be a hobby army with no real aim to be an awesome gaming army, but we'll see.
My painting scheme is oing to be of a purple variation with a litle pink/purple highlight followed by a purple wash (to get at the recesses).
WATCH THIS SPACE.
Well I have had second thoughts, mainly because I ran out of purple paint... I've instead decided to go for something alike to that of the painting tutorial found at the back of White Dwarf Issue 361, a black carapace followed by a sort of grey-like skin. It just catches my eye and makes me go "Ooooh".
Should have pictures of 2 of the Gargoyles up tonight, would of had them done yesterday but Fridays is my Dungeons and Dragons day! (oh the fun we had!). I know, its slow going at the moment but I am a very amateur painter and I make plenty a mistake of my work. Sorry
