Great start, I like the red on the cloak, the other coours are had to see but they look great as well.
Good job on your model so far. Like xbanditsx said - what don't you like about the purple?. I think maybe add a somewhat lighter shade and/or do other parts of your model first and then find the correct shade(if you even apply a purple at this point) and do it from there. I'm still learning the ropes myself, but thats just something coming from someone who just started off in painting.

Meh, this sucks.. I thought I would be able to make more progress today but I guess I'm just slow at painting. I won't probably finish this in time for before the deadline tomorrow but I'll try. I'm happy with him so far though and I'm having lot of fun painting him. I think he will look good when he is all done.
It's nicely painted though I would have gone for purple though. It would have tied in with the front of the model and kept it feeling dark and dark elfy. Some freehand would have been nice on the edges too, just to spice it up a bit
Good work though... Think you've got my vote anyway
