Welcome to Librarium Online!
As some of you may know Seasonreaper has devised some long term plans for 7 or more Tyranid Hive Fleets. He has delegated one of those to me so that I may create whatever I want. If you would like to know more, please visit his user page to find and view relevant threads and look through his blogs regarding the Hive Fleets.
This Hive Fleet can predominantly be categorised into two main themes; Flying and burrowing. The colour scheme is based on the premises of a desert world invasion, with the skin being a sandy colour and chitinous plates a darker brown. Contrasting colours consisting of dark blue and turquoise shall be used for softer fleshy bits and brood markings respectively.
On to a few pictures I guess! However not much has been done yet as I am finding little time to paint. =/
First up is a Hormagaunt prototype...
OM NOM NOM!
Now for the Ravener torso.
Finally I have a few of the Pyrovore...I love this guy, but he is a right git to put together, hehe
Oh what a lovely littl- OHMYGODI'MONFIRE!!!!-Chomp
So, once they're all done and uploaded on here, what do I have in mind next? Oh yes...
So now hopefully you have some idea of what's in store for this Hive Fleet. I have loads of conversion ideas, most of which I am remembering to write down before I forget them...hee hee.
Just so you know, I am doing a Blacksmithing course at college 3 days a week, the other 2 I am at work(hospital) so I do not get that much time for serious painting sessions; I'll be lucky if I squeeze in a few hours over the weekend. So progress will be slow. Nonetheless I think you'll enjoy what I have to offer There will be scything talons, you'll like it, I promise!
Final point to make- I do intend to develop 'background' information for this Hive Fleet, so I will post up little bits now and then that delve into the history and development of Hive Fleet Stercus Accidit.
And if you know what stercus accidit means, well, now doubt it would cross your mind if you were being invaded by Tyranids.
That Pyrovore is certainly looking quite nice and squidgy already, first time I've really been able to have a good look at one. Definately a superior model to the ugly Biovore thing.
Your Trygon appears to be missing a little something... I can't quite put my finger on what though. I'm sure it'll come to my head... Oh wait, dammit!
