So, im beginning to get my butt into gear and got painting again a few days ago. This log will hopefully help me keep on tack with my Spartan army for Armies of Arcana and my upcoming WHFB Chaos Army (Mono God Themed - See if you can guess )
So below is my General for my AoA Spartans, What i consider to be my best painted miniature yet - I have spent a lot of time on him, and have successfully (I think anyway), ventured into highlighting for the first time.
And the base on its own...
Sorry about the Quality of some of the pictures, im Working on getting a decent setup for photographs.
And below is the test-base for my Chaos army. Should give you a clue as to which god ive chosen
C&C And Advice is more than welcome. Will try and keep this thread updated!

Ok, New Update Time!
I have been working pretty much non-stop over the past week on the Flames of War Fallschirmjager for Late War. After a week of painting (No idea where the drive for that came from as im usually an infequent painter), i have finished painting my entire Flames of War collection.
Some of it was already painted, and ive only taken pics of the stuff ive painted (Or re-painted).
Thats right, I painted up:
32 Stands of 5 infantry
12 Command Stands
4 Pak 40's
3 Staff Cars
4 Infantry Transports
2 Half Tracks
and 1 pioneer supply truck.
Currently on the painting table are the following which i have filled and/or undercoated today. Mainly Circle of Orboros Hordes but there is the basilisk for my Praetorians in there too.
Great looking stuff. Nice too some one with a busy work area. Helps me not feel the odd one out! ;-)
Loving the WWII stuff. I used to be really into the Tamiya 1/35th stuff in my youth. The winged guy at the top of your post looks good. Solid painting, neat and well defined colours used. If I venture some ideas for you to try with the aim of helping......
1. Try dry brushing the wings with a lighter tone of the main colour. It'll catch the edges of the texture and bring in more depth
2. Have a read of this article..... http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/744
It'll really help with your metals.
Hoe you find that useful and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the hints. I will read thatarticle when I get home this evening! I stopped working on the general model because everything I Did I caught something else - but will have another look at it
Ok... Newest progress.
Managed to get my Basilisk Finished for my Praetorians. And a couple of group shot of all the armoured corps ( minus the three walkers).
Britannian Armoured Corps now stands at:
1 Baneblade (Super heavy armoured Corps)
2 LR BT's
1 LR Demolisher
1 LR Punisher
Anyway, i still have some crew to paint up for the basilisk, and im thinking of adding names to all the tanks via freehand but am still unsure. Other than that they are all finished!
If anyone is interested in any closeups of the other tanks i have them just let me know and i will post them up.
