Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi everyone, I've already got threads for my dwarfs, and Tau and lizardmen ( which have wondered off to somewhere around 20th page oblivion ) , but I also do quite a lot of stuff not related to any of my armies, for 40K, fantasy and LotR. I thought it wouldn't hurt to post these here too. I actually wanted to do this now that I am working on a space wolf which is turning out frikin' awesome, so far almost everything completely in NMM style! I wanted to share that one, and it couldn't hurt to put some other stuff in as well.
A space wolf mini I got at my local GW when the space wolves were released. I hadn't done anything with it for a long time, so in a moment of boredom I decided to paint him in some cool way, inspired by the september 2010 White dwarf, which had an article about 'eavy metal painter Joe Tomaszewski and lots of shiney pictures. I did not intend to do the power armour in a NMM style, but it sort of accidentaly happened while I was painting his arm, which has a very characteristic spot for light shine on it.
A lord of the rings Orc captain I painted once. The tattered banner next to him has the eye of sauron on it. I tried to make the base for this one a tiny bit more exciting than my regular bases, which are.. pretty boring, regular table top bases.
A Night goblin big boss. I had him lying around from a huge box of Orcs& goblins I had won at a lottery in my local GW ( haven't done a lot with those yet, some day I will have the time.. some day... ) . With this mini I was testing mixing colours into the robe, in this case camo green,l which is a bit fungi'ish, and was also used a lot in his brown clothes on the back, and the stones ( which were done with a dozen different colours btw )
OMG, the bearded one is painting awesome 40K space wolves. i've got to say it, though not finished, the model is gorgeous already.
the ork captain is painted quite nice too, i love the commanding pose.
and although i've already hold your night goblin boss in my hands, i still find it a remarkable paint job, in which i can never compete.
they are very good, oh Bearded one.
I must say your painting is simply amazing and I am very much so looking forward to seeing more of your work as well as your completed Space Wolf. Rep for your efforts!
Ask me about the Black and White Space Marine on the Black and White Bike!!!
Bearded - That Space Wolf is beautiful, the NMM style suits the look of a single mini. He is looking really good. The LOTR mini is really good too, really well painted and looks like he is directing his forces to attack.
I think "shiny" sums that mini up well. You've done a good job so far, i'm looking forward to see the finished product.
