    Space Hulk Commission

I've been sitting on this for a couple of weeks but finally it is it's turn to be cleaned up and rebased ready for painting. The client has basically given me freereign on the basing in the theme of an urban/concrete style. Can't wait to get my teeth into it.

So far I've cleaned up half the figures, drilled weapons and removed their origional bases.

Pilot00: I hope enjoy watching the journey I go through to paint these up. ;-) Good luck with yours when you decide to take the plunge.

More progress this week sees all of the figures debased, glued, cleaned up and a few areas resculpted and carved due to the poor sculpting on legs etc. New bases will be started this weekend all being well.

This looks awesome, I may have to copy some ideas about the bases and finally get round to painting my space hulk terminators!

Thanks guys. ;-) Made good progress today with rebasing. The theme my client has choosen is an urban fight style. I've used a number of brass etched parts, bits from a railway model company, resin bits a friend of mine makes and brass rod for bolter cases. Hopefully the bases will add a dynamic element. I'll let you guys be the judge.

    Pilot00: I'll certainly do my best. ;-)

LS: I knew you'd want to follow this closely. ;-)

Cildefride: I do hope you get some good ideas mate. Copy away!

They look fantastic, I do have a quick question, when you put the figures together did you cut off the little thin sticky out bits on the arm joints, or do you have to get them in the exact right place before they fit properly?

    Thanks,
    Clidefride

Cheers mate. Those lengths of plastic you are refering to I found were a little long. I did cut them down but still left enough to help get a good fit with the arms and yes, the arms do have a proper 'fit' so spending a moment getting it right does matter.

    Hope that helps.

The bases look very good man, you used some shredded bits from a plastic kit didn't you?
Do you glue the models to the bases before painting?

    Cheers,
    LS
