    Vulcans W.I.P

Right I decided that what was needed was to show off as much of the stuff I have got done in a year of warhammering hobbyness. Then i can start addiding more and more as i go on.
Not really done this before as my painting skills revolve around a tank brush and lots of paint. will say sorry for bad photos only got a phone camera and the lights in my room work like an ork put them there!
finally manged to get the photos to appear hear, so let me know what you think, only posted photos of my tau and an eldar banshee squad, oh and a sentinal and just because a few shots of everything i have built

    DSC00553.JPGDSC00552.JPG
One Shas'el complete with multi-tracker, target lock, shield generator and two gun drones and of course his bodyguard iwth multi-tracker and target lock. Both have got missile launcher and plasma rifle.

Not sure when you put those pictures up, but with the group shots of your complete 40K/Fantasy collection - That's a lot of stuff!

The Tau colour scheme is interesting, though it looks a little flat. Have you used any techniques like shading or highlighting, and they're just not coming through in the pictures?

well technically the pictures went up today, cause i figured out how to, through reading of a manual. as for the tau, basecoat is black, then the armour bits are shadow gray, orange is used on the tau symbol on the shoulder pad, this is use more with the vetran types, battlesuits and the commander of the squads.
i guess with the tau though they are in a city fighting enviroment and dont want to really stand out, though for the life of me i cant understand why they chose orange to as the sept colour, seems a bit too bright and noticable to me.

Well, maybe they think that at they range they'll be shooting you from, you won't be close enough to pick out their pretty colours?

if they go agaisnt say imperial guard then yes, you wont see the shiny colour but with orks? i think it would be like insulting the warboss or something, its going to draw them straight to you, still shows how macho you are.

got in my fisrt game with the tau tonight, to make it a bit easier for me i found the stores resident tau expert and when agaisnt his nids, he helpfully pointed various bits i did wrong and generally advised me on what to, the firewarriors squad managed to bring down a terrigon my commander failed to do much in shooting and proved better in combat, the hammerhead is also cool, though i chose to use the large blast too much, finally xv88s, i hate building them but hell they work.
finally even though i still have a fair bit of the tau stuff to build i have bough a landspeeder and already asemble it, this shall be my salamander one, armed with multi-melta and heavy flamer it shall roast and toast things.
