Well I guess it's time for mr Muse to start a painting log and to settle down into LO

Over the course of this thread I will be talking about my latest works, projects and headaches.

I would love any and all feedback and as work develops I will add pictures

however most WIP pics will be taken with my phone with final pics being taken in the lightbox :p

So without further ado, here is my latest project. A Chaos Space Marine Lord.

Currently the model has been undercoated White (I prefer painting on White) with a devlan mud wash to a) show the detail and b) create instant shading for hidden and hard to reach areas.

I find this makes painting easier as I can see what I'm doing and I don't have to worry about "White lining".

Looks sweet so far! Where does that model come from? I don't think I've seen it in the GW website before.

Yeah it's a GW one

I'm not confident enough yet to put conversions and sculpting on my display pieces... Yet lol.

Actually going down a different route with this now so a bit of a delay. Decided to draw influence from the Megmatrex model that won the slayer sword in I think 2006 in Canada I think... Do you know which one I mean?

Quite fancy trying out SE NMM and the freehand magma style armour. Not a huge fan of NMM but every challenge is a step forward
