And finally my Army lists-
Before we begin I mist stress this, the paint jobs that are used currently are VERY poor, only a few min's per gaunt, I plan to use a dippign effect when my friends finishes his orc army so I can use dip. Okay thanks P.S Sorry for dodgy photos, all done form my phone.
The first buy.
So I walk into my local GW store for the very first time. The staff were helpful, and I told them what I wanted and they suggested Eldar. But then I saw it. A 6000 points battle between Tyranids and Space Marines, the sheer number of guants and the epicness of the monsters. I had to have them >.> So I decided to get with the almighty Bugs. I talked to the player (Who is really friendly and we often team up now) For some advice, he pointed me to the battle force. So I purchased it. he also bought a box of guants so we sat down together gluing all afternoon. And later that night on Ebay I saw a great deal, one of the older battleforces selling for 30. So I bought that and shortly the box arrived.
(Need to add pics of the gaunts etc being glued)
Then I found my love of stealers. Soon enough they were painted (To a dodgey standard)
And some pics of warriors to
And the Hive fleet begins. So I needed two things now. A suitable HQ unit for small point games (Dont hate for not getting a tervigon but I had spare warrior bits lying around) and I wanted a trygon for the additional umph factor.
I shortly got a Trygon a few days later, little did I know that the Trygon I now call "Larry" has burrowed his way into my heart. He is my all time fav bug... Dont judge me. It has been quoted form Dave form miniwar gaming
"All war-hammer players need to have a special model nick named who advices them on matters of urgent importance".
(Will upload images of Trygon later)
So I needed a HQ unit next. So, I wanted to stick to small games so I decided to make a Tyranid Prime, since I had a few warriors lying around. This is what I got:
Yes, that green thing is a turtle. he watched over my modelling and brings me luck. he is refereed to as either Bruce or Pebbles.
Assemble a warrior as normal. If you trim the end of the tail you can position the torso so it looks taller.
Put the scything talons up the top, and the carnifex/trygon medium scything talons on the bottom arm slots
Attach the Trygon/malwoc spikes To the top of the head and down the back.
Flock the base and tada
-A simple but an effective conversion
-Will add more later.
Pebbles demands you to comment and says hi to LO.

Kay, so continuing on. After a few weeks with those models and playing some games I started getting into the bugs even more. So I decided if I was going to play larger point games. I need some larger models. So first I searched the interwebz till I found a new in box, cheaps hive tyrant. he arrived and shortly after I got myself a trygon (No serious tyranid player can say he doesn't have one of those models.) I traded some orcs that I found online for some tyrant guards. So everything was looking good so far...
That was until I hit a stopping point..
(Pictures in the attached thumbnails below.)
Im considering for wings: Magnetizing the upper arm sockets and placing balrog wings in there, I got the wings just no magnets, what do you guys recommend using?

Again, added more information above with additional pics.
Ha, I JUST ordered some rare earth magnets off ebay, I also hear they are good. they should be arriving soon, ill take pictures and show you how well they preform.
The magnets arrived and I am going to start spray painting my Hive tyrant then magnetize him. More pics to come!
Also, your opinion on the color scheme at the moment? I plan to paint my 20 devilgaunts the opposite way around. Blue skin with bleached bone carapace. Since EVERY player in our GW has one squad of their most vicious units painted in reverse. So you views on how they will turn out?
These magnets are a pain. They are TO strong it rips the glue off, I have resulted in putting a thin layer of glue ontop of the magnets, and they dont hold the weight of the wings! Any suggestions on how to make it better?
