When I'm not working on my new Deldar army (Red Splintery Madness!) I try to get as much painting done as I can on my Luna Wolves. It's kinda been an ongoing project for the last 2 years, but slowly it's turning into a full fledged army!
Some pics posted below, hope you like it!
The group pic! This will be the army I've been taking to the Dutch GT in 2009 & 2010. (except for the Captain, I ran Cassius as an HQ instead, counting as a Lodge Master ofc!)
The Justaerin Terminator Squad! The gold is recently added, but they still need a lot of work done on the reds/blacks and details
A still to be named Lodge Master will lead the Justaerin... The captain is OUT
dum dum dum
Sergeant Nero Vipus leads Locasta Tactical Squad. Squad consists of Nero and his powerfist, a missile Launcher, a melta gun and 7 other marines. The have their own dedicated transport.
Another shot of Locasta
dum dum dum
Sergeant Talonus is the sergeant of Tactical Squad Pithraes. Like Locasta it's a 10-man squad with a missile Launcher and a melta gun. Sergeant Talonus is equipped with a powerfist.
Only the oldest of warriors still wear the armour from the unification wars. The squad recently received a newer Rhino though
Sergeant Xavyer leads Hellebore tactical squad. Just like Locasta and Pithraes, Hellebore goes to war in their Rhino. Xavyer wields a powerfist himself, but also makes sure his squad has a missile Launcher and meltagun available at all times.
Reaver Squad Thagort consists of 9 reavers, 2 wielding flamers. Sergeant Mehrkast leads this squad into battle, wielding his powerfist and meltabombs
Still need some colors on this unlucky one though...
Predators Maronar and Valoc deal with any infantry the enemy is foolish enough to leave in the open. Their autocannons and Heavy bolters bring the Emperor's light to all corners of the galaxy
C&C Is always appreciated!
very nice, love the colours and gold has come out great!
only down side i would have is the vehicles dont know if your still working on them but they look a bit bland.
"Should take you a while though because of your sloth like pace"
Click here and watch Gedderz try and cross the road
i really love this, there is some amazing work done on this army
know the feeling about easily distracted, managed to get 80 rats done in two weeks and just cant seem to cant anything else done, its frustrating.
Yessss, got some Luna Wolves work done! After going over what I've got already I've descided I need work on the following things:
I've started out with adding a banner for Squad Locasta and in the back you see what will eventually become Horus.
- Sergeant banners and standard bearers in each squad
- Finish vehicles by adding iconography, weathering, etc
- Finish MK1 squad
- HORUS & The Mournival
- Battle damage & weathering on all infantry
- Buy new awesome Contemptor Dread
They both still also need a lot of work on the NMM and the reds
C&C Always appreciated ofc!
Excellent work. feels like a special army.
looking foward for more work
Hight elf and Craftworld Eldar army project pics heavy: linky
Thnx for the reply Niraco!
For me it definately is a special kind of army indeed
Thnx Mr Jones New additions are on their way
I've been messing around with pigments a bit. Though I'm not completely happy about it yet. I have 4 Rhinos, and they are all still clean as a whistle!
So it's time to add some chipping/dusting/weathering etc...
I tried weathering on one of the Rhinos, but I haven't added chipping yet. I think I overdid the weathering on the front, though I'm quite happy with the top.
How can I improve on this?
Sides are allright, but also need more work I think... perhaps I've added too much here as well?
Overdid it on the front I think...
The top seems about right to me tbh...
AHHH... Standard bearers in MK4 and MK1 armour! Getting there...
