I could have sworn I checked the spelling before hand....
Anyway, 15 men and a dead mans che... Sentinel is the quota for this month. So much fun![]()

Go at it! I find this thread very inspiring. Nice conversions, and good painting. I can't wait to see how those sentinels turn out.

Well as I promised, an image of the dusty, undercoated sentinel.
The reason this poor fella has been waiting so long for some TLC comes with my early eagerness to get the model finished. I'd gone and built the model the day I bought it in a rush, gluing on the camo netting (made from cheap plastic place matts from the two dollar shop) and only realising too late that I'd used an excess amount with some dissapointing results. The leg stance didn't do it any favours either, and it's sat in the pile of shame ever since.
BUT NO LONGER!!!

Hi everyone
Uni work and other commitments have made a mess of my schedual, leaving me with a lot of unfinished models waiting patiently on my shelf.
Thankfuly the exam period finishes mid November for me so I'II hopfuly get this months quota along with last months left overs done by then!
But onto the good news: I did manage to finish off a few of the bastards!
Here's my CO's bodyguard, blasting his pistol into the air to get the enemies attention/inspire the troops behind and having a lovely aquila painted onto his chestplate for extra protection!
We then have an assortment of legionaire, all of which now have the red stripe a top of their helmets for easier identification and increasing the colour pallet for them (which is seriously lacking in bright colours). I'm doing some more tests with the old camo pattern, less blobs and more spindly, so I'II update you all when that comes around...
Check out the running one's lasgun though, it's hacked off the lasgun turrets from the chimera, any thoughts on the barrel shape?
Here are the last two, and probably the most heavily converted. The top one having almost geometric shoulder pads whilst the other is throwing a grenade whilst holding his rifle LEFT HANDED
I very pleased on how these two have turned out, particularly the grenade fellow, since he's in such a dynamic and awesome pose!
Anyway, this month will be tougher thanks to uni, since I'II now be doing:
1 Sentinal
3 Savlar Chem Dogs
3 veterans for the Command Squad
Along with:
Veteran squad (10 guardsmen) at 95pts
Officer of the fleet at 30pts
2 heavy weapons teams (autocanons for the infantry squads) 30ptsish
(so 15 infantry)
On the plus side, I've gone and modled some other lasgun variants for the veterans since if the regular infantry already have a few variations from the standard design, then the vets need a few unique ones themselves.
So here we have a backpack and side loading variant, the later being by far one of the easiest to make (and thus will go for a majority of the conversions).
I'm also considering altering the should pad design to the geometric one seen earlier on the Chem Dogs, any other suggestions?
I've also made some alterations to the HQ guardsmen, notably an entirely sculted hand for the vox operator and a plain peaked cap for the officer of the fleet! The muscly fellow there will be a decked out medic in due time, until then he's just giving out the monthly injections
Well that'll be all for a while now, comments and critisism is welcome as always.
Good luck to the TOXG fellows as well!

Love the conversions. Lots of variety in the guns is nice. Should be good if you can keep it up. Feeling the real life getting in the way of finishing models!
A
Commisarlestat's TOXG points painted this month: 0 points painted overall: 1166

Some great conversions and painting there - looking good! I quite like your grenade-throwing Guardsman, it seems like it was a bit of work but it looks worth it!

Just did some recalculations on my army list, turns out I've a few hundred points left unaccouted for... more tanks?![]()

A month certainly doesn't seem to be a long time at all these days. I though I had all the time in the world but each month seems to end rather quickly, the end of year exams being done with some very late assignments coming in straight after that has distracted me from my craft.
Falling behindfor a second month in a row, I think that'll strike me out of the TOXG sadly.
But I'II keep things going at a regularish pase hopefuly. The Melta vets are almost completed, though I still need to do some work on the metla wielding vets themselves since the right arm is monstrously out of proportion to the rest of the model
I'II try and get some pics up early this week, and well done to the few fellas game enough to keep up with the deadline!
