Well after going to the hobby killer that is the SCGT I have decided to give warhammer a bit of a rest, magic is about as much fun as watching paint dry, but anyways, I decided I wanted something a bit different to use with 40k so I have decided to go with grey knights, the models and cool and it doesn't take much restraint to make a balanced list!

Love the Dragio model, I was actually find it hard to decided between using Draigo and Calgar but I think Calgar is going to get converted in a Gabriel Angeles in terminator armour, anyways obviously still not finished but he's start to look pretty cool, not sure on how the halberd turned out, might actually redo that.

Paladins





I am hoping to get these atleast halfway painted today after I get my arse in gear and paint up a combat squad of ultramarine sternguard, I still need to get my hands on another psycannon.

Strike Squad



I have 10 so far and couple of chaos rhinos I plan on reusing which I also need to get some resin kits for, I am going to see about geting the rest tomorrow, I was planning on getting 4 metal psycannons for the units but I think its going to be harder than I thought with how amazing they are with this book, ahh well, atleast I have all the plastic one from the boxes

Purifier Squad





Well I was originally going to use these over another unit of terminators, I actually planned on using a unit of 8 with 2 incinerators however after some play testing I think if I want to use these I really need to find points for another transport or just save them for bigger games.


I have just ordered a forgeworld

This exact one actually, just need to see if I can find a stormbolter for it, while I am sure that the two psyammo autocannon is better I just think this looks look, I think it makes a nice venerable dreadnought and just looks cool to paint, so for the army its just really a stormraven (which I plan on getting the psycannon forgeworld kits for the turret), 10 strike guys and 5 terminators plus some resin kits, hopefully I will have the rest of it bought next month.

Nice work there!I like what i see,one small comment though:You might want to go a little lighter on the blue wash in the armor,apply less or thin it a bit.
Just my personal preference.

@ Commisar Shortie - Hey thanks mate and thanks for the rep! well hopefully I can get this all done in a couple of months, you know a part of me wants to use a Redemeer rather than a Raven simply for the forgeworld kit, I just love the forgeworld kit! mind you I would have to find another 25pts (so it could have psy-ammo) and then it effects my tactic of putting the ven in the back of the Raven and launching it and my paladins out in turn two for a nasty combo assault :-/

@ pilot00 - Cheers, well to be honest it was originally abit of a mistake but its kinda grown on me, makes them stand out from other peoples grey knights!

HappyJim, they look pretty good. I really like the armour colour, it is different to most of the other ones that will be a very blue silver or grey.

How'd you do at the SCGT? By your comment, I don't think you enjoyed it quite so much. To feel better, you should come to the LO Meet! Last weekend of July. COME!

@ CaptainSarathai - LOL, man I will never loook at him the same Rhino's won't be done for a while as I will have to save up for some forgeworld doors (more than a fecking rhino!) but hopefully the Dread will arrive early next week, I'm hoping I can do some more painting on these guys over the weekend but depends how long my damn ultramarine commission takes.

@ King Ulrik Flamebeard - Cheers mate, its amazing how mistakes can pan out! as for the SCGT, I have to say it was the worst weekend of my life to date, day one was ok, two 20-0 wins and 0-20 lose against a ogre player (shameful), ended very drunk by the end of the day, got back to the hotel and my now ex was on the phone having ago at me for not calling her. Day two, my dice went to shit, my now ex had ago at me for calling for much!!! when I got home my fiance decided to breakup with me. So yeah, I would say all in all everything into account I lost alot of interesting in warhammer for a while (hence why I never finished my WoC plog). I would certainly like to come up to that however I still haven't start work yet, I have been waiting nearly a month to start my new job due to bloody CRB checks and shit, I have a horrible feeling its all fallen through and they just haven't bothered to call me but yeah if I can find away I will make it up!

I was playing against GK a few years ago who'd done a metallic bronze wi hints of black for his armour.. looked amazing

I have seen this technique as well,though they look amazing indeed,they become bronze knights then!!!
