Just starting a thread to track my progress and share my WFB armies. My Wood Elves, roughly 3000 points (nerfed by 8th rules!), are sitting gathering dust in an army case somewhere. But I will endeavour to break a few out now and again to relieve the Chaos-ness of this thread. My WoC Khorne army is still in the early stages, got loads of models but not painted so this will be the main focus to start with.
So the first thing I want to talk about is how frickin sweet the Chaos Lord on Manticore model is!??!?! My Good bud Scarred Moon bought me that for my birthday the other day and I swear it is an absolute dream to put together. Tons of options, loads of detail and it's plastic! Cannot wait to paint this bad boy, still building so pics will be up later. Hopefully start painting later this week.
I'm trying NOT to buy that model! I've got so many Warriors to finish already I need to resist that Manticores temptations. Must be a Slaanesh Beasty......... Either way I'm subscribed in the hope that if I see you build/paint it I wont have too....... No way in hell that will work but hey-hum. Subscribed.
On another note. Glad you put those confused pointy eared tree huggers away and invested in a manly army
Right I have finished off my Chaos Sorcerer. A Khorne warrior, hence the red cloak, who has been tricked into serving the Lord of Change, Khorne not happy with him! I kitbashed this guy with stuff from a Chaos Space Marine, Chaos Knights/Wood Elf/Sisters of Battle bits and I green stuffed the familiar holding the book (I don't do much GS but i'm happy with it!).
I'd love to see the monster he killed to get the multi-coloured fur cloak
Perhaps a monster for the lord of change?
GLORY TO THE DICE GODS!
All my warriors are Khorne and have the red cloaks, So his is red to tie him in to the rest of the army and the colours are there to represent the changing from Khorne to Tzeentch. Eventually he will no longer be recognisable in his previous incarnation as a Warrior of Khorne thanks to the gifts of Tzeentch.
Right another quick update. Manticore time, whoo, I absolutely love this kit and have finally gotten round to painting it (curse you Gears of War 3, leaching my free time from Warhammer!). Very much a WIP at the mo, have finished off the skin. Several shades of brown (hard to see from the pic, better ones to follow upon completion, honest guv!) and i'm not sure on the fur colour yet. Any suggestions guys?
