Craftworld Althair Eldar Fan Fiction
ToXG Eldar, Craftworld Althair. Total Points Painted: 120/1500

Squad's almost done actually. Had to get them mostly done by last Thursday for a local league so that was part of my motivation. Just a few small details I want to finish up before taking pics.

As usual you can open in a new tab for bigger pics.
I tried something different with the leader's cloak to try and practice for my Thunderwolves. I tried to do some feathering but I used too much paint and it didn't go quite like I wanted.
I think these guys' faces have turned out the best. That's my favorite part about them, along with the Plasma Cannon guy.
Not sure what I'm doing next. My list has definitely change since my original post, I have about 2600 in total points models now and have been playing 1850 games, so I want to do up a new list of 2000 for this project. For instance I never got the Landspeeders. Everything I've done so far is definitely in it though, I've painted some core stuff for my army.
Any requests on what to do next? I'm thinking of doing up some Rhinos and the Razorback, but I have a good feeling people want to see Thunderwolves.

This awesome.I like the armor scheme very much,a different touch to the space wolves.Had i my way with them,i would make the chest eagles a contrasting colour though.

Yeah, those faces are pretty slick. I'm impressed with the eyes you put down, as they turned out really good.

Thanks guys. I was thinking that about the armor eagle too, but I felt making it different would be a little distracting. So I just left it.

You can always go with a muted cool colour. Even a grey, similar in style to the cloak itself, would allow it to stand out without causing it pull too much away from his face, which is currently the only warm colour and will draw the eye first (as it does now). Or you can go with a light blue/white, or a stone or khaki colour, though that might be warming it up too much.

How about Dwarf Bronze? I bought it recently to use with my Terminators. With a black wash it might be dark enough to blend in nicely.

Yeah, I think if you wash it out and don't highlight afterwards, it'll be dulled enough where you won't have to worry about it drawing the eye too much. Only way to know for certain would be to try. The orange is definitely a good colour choice, being a complimentary colour and all.
