Hi there, I have never done a painting blog before, but I figure it should keep me motivated enough to paint an entire army (a first for me...). So I thought, who better to paint than my favorite army since I started the hobby back in '99, the Wood Elves.
The catalyst for this blog is a local Games Workshop "event" for Hobby New Years Resolutions, and I put down my challenge.... by December 31st, 4000 points of Wood Elves to be completely painted and based. Hopefully I succeed, and I welcome anyone to come on this journey with me, and please, voice your thoughts on my painting, both positive and negative, any tips you could provide me, anything would be a great help.

Ha the thumbs up is hilarious, but as for the models they look very nice! Can you get some close ups? The autumn idea is very cool.
Thanks guys, really loving this. It feels good to know that in under a year, Im going to have a completed army at a pretty large size!!
Anyways, heres the closeup of the now completed Glade Guard unit. And by completed, I dont mean bases, for now. I cant stand doing them, and will do all that in one hit at the end.....hopefully by then, they invent sand that is already painted and highlighted so I only have to glue it down ;P Also, if anyone has any tips on how to get basing done really fast and/or easy, please, let me know. Thanks again
P.S. Sorry for the horrible lighting, the first pic was at the local GW, this one is at my place.....will be taking pictures in better light from now on
ummmm, sorry bout that, but I dont know what went wrong......does anyone know how the last post turned out differently from the first one? Sorry, noob at work here
