    Redemptionlife's Warriors of Chaos

Been a painting my Warriors of Chaos up, now have 1500 points basecoated and getting it all slowly up to a decent standard.

So firstly, Khorne Exalted on a demonic steed with Axe of Khorne.. I am thinking this is almost done, if people can spot any problems I would greatly appreciate, going to try and get it photographed by GW for the website.

And a Tzeentch Sorcerer on a disc

And basecoated and subsequently broken (so probably will not be painted any more than necessary) a Warshrine:

Enjoy, some warriors coming in the coming week or so.

Hmmm, the zombies are a little un-chaosy but the rest looks great. I particularly like the lord, nice colour balance.
War is terrorism with bigger budgets, guns and egos.

Agreed think skulls would work a lot better for Khorn.

Although I think everything else is nicely done.

Great Job!! I really like your Khorne Exalted - very nice colors. I do not mind the bodies in the back of the warshrine - afterall, the skulls have to come from somewhere! Maybe add a few skulls piled around them is all.

    Keep up the good work!
Which armies do I have? Holy Cow - I've got three boys, so what armies do I NOT have??
Win/Loss Ratio? - I usually let my boys win, so frankly, it stinks...

As promised, some warriors, painted around a year ago, but finished and based today, still some final highlights to do on them when I can be bothered but definitely tabletop standard. First time using Army Painter's grass clumps as well, they are pretty amazing, but warning if you use them, still use some PVA, the adhesive on the bottom is not that great.

And a closeup of the command

And from the back, still room for another rank (I can hear my wife and wallet complaining already)

Next is the cheapest sorcerer ever, taken from the corpse cart sprue I used for the Warshrine, and painted to a matching low standard usually bunkers in the unit above using lore of shadows

And my next project is a 10x3 unit of GW marauders done nurgle, bought and made these last year but just getting around to painting them.

Was really inspired by the thoughts of a unit walking into a forest and coming out feral, mutated and diseased. So there are lots of beastmen parts, a pestigor command unit (god it cost me on ebay, but just love the champion smelling his armpit and that awesome banner) and a mutated tree as a unit filler.

First 10 guys and the tree are photographed, so another 16 to go after these, love priming brown though, its just so easy to paint on top off and gives a really dirty feel quickly, enjoy

    All looks very nice.

You may want to try taking photos in daylight or using the auto fix thing on a website like Photobucket to try and get rid of the yellow saturation. I hate taking photo's of miniatures its really difficult to get across how they look. :/

Man, that looks hot! I always like sizable units of chaos warriors ranked up.

The nurgele marauders are gettng off to a nice start. I thought those were the pestigors Also, are those others flaggelants? Man, the things that kit is good for!

Beard - Yeah pestigors, bestigors, ungors, flaggelants, marauders, cool old nurgle models, all sorts coming in this unit, have tried to make all of them unique and quirky. Got another bunch of chaos warriors lining up too, but khorney with halberds this time, no pics yet though as they are currently in a disguesting state..

allo - i am taking using a daylight bulb but i might have to move some things around in my loft so that i can start taking near the window with the daylight bulb, maybe its very yellow because of the amount of brown, which ones are you spotting it on? I would really love to start taking better pics, will be trying to grab a piece of true white cloth tomorrow for backing and see if i can get another swing lamp with a daylight bulb in it... will crack it eventually (anything has to be better than photographing it on a towel covered minicase anyway)

tomorrow I should have at least finished basecoating the first batch of nurgle marauders, and might even have a surprise (I'll give you a clue, it shoots stuff)

Its the colour of the background really that is making me think yellow or maybe brown or Orange. It looks a bit like a filter has been applied over the top of hte lense or something. The Sorceror doesn't have it at all but all the other images look a little off, the whites don't look white.

Maybe its just me, not really a big deal just makes identifying colours difficult.

Yeah I do agree actually, hopefully getting a true white piece of cloth in the background will make it better as I currently have a rather old towel (probably just a little brown with my old sweat stains, NICE)

Might retake all these units tomorrow if I can sort out some more lighting and some better background cloth
